But it wasn’t given…..it was “developed”.
How does “development” make it any less “given”? How is the canon, developing over the course of 4 centuries, make it any less of God? How is the concept of the Trinity, and the hypostatic union developing well after the Apostles make it any less “given” by God?
Jesus was clear that everything would not be immediately understood, and it would take time.
So why did you bring satan into the conversation at all?
You weren’t inferring that satan could have interfered with God’s plan of salvation were you?
I don’t think it was an inference. I think that Satan does everything to interfere with God’s plan, and is successful sometimes.
I never said it was – you used the word “confused” in your original post….
Poor choice of words, then. Mary was puzzled because she had no intention of having relations with a man. That is why she asked “how”?
Well – some other versions of the Catholic Bible express it differently – New Jerusalem : 28 He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour! The Lord is with you.’ And New American Standard , 28And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”
Do you find these not “titles”?
As stated – Mary already had the ‘cards stacked in her favour’ (pardon the pun), and Zacharias didn’t.
I think I disagree with this, but since it is off topic, I am not going to ask about it. Suffice to say that I believe, where God guides, He provides. God did not ask anything of 'ol Zach that He was not willing to enable Him to do.
Oh yes, of course – Mary is always just that much a little “ahead” and “before” God….isn’t she?
You have gone many days without any sarcastic remarks, and I commend you for that. It looks like this one just slipped.

John the Baptis was ahead and before Jesus too. It does not take away from Jesus.
Mary told the people at the wedding to do whatever Jesus says. If we want to put that statement in the present of course we are to do what Jesus says but we can do that with or without His mother telling us.
Why do the Hindus not do what He says when they devote themselves to the Blessed Mother?
What makes you assume they wont? Mary follows Jesus with her whole heart, mind, soul and strength. Anyone else that follows her will also end up where she did.
If the Blessed Mother leads people to Her Son why aren’t the Hindus and Muslims getting the message? They have a pious devotion but still reject God’s plan of salvation.
Well, don’t count them damned before the time.
“Why is Mary included in the gospel message?”
The gospel never said “Accept Jesus, Mary and Peter and you will be saved.” The Church says that. Isn’t that preaching another gospel?
Let us see what Jesus said about those who receive the gospel message:
Mark 10:28-31
29 Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the good news, 30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this age — houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields, with persecutions — and in the age to come eternal life.
He showed us this by giving us His own mother.
