I would like to ask for prayers that My family and I have a safe trip on the 12hr drive to Kentucky that we have to make tonight/early tomorrow morning. I have a new 4 month old baby and am worried about the trip.

Thanks and God Bless

The mother of a friend of ours is hospitalized , suffering of cancer, and she and her family need urgently your prayers. Please remeber them in your daily prayers. Her name is Jeanne Allison.

Thank you for your kindness and may theLord bless you.

On this Memorial Day Weekend please pray for all our troops in Iraq. Please pray for all those who have lost their lives in Iraq. I am praying especially for those from Tucson as it seems that we have lost a large number of young men and women.

I ask your prayers for my two grown sons, who I raised in a Protestant church with sad results spiritually. The younger says he has no consciousness of sin and thinks guilt is unhealthy but he is willing to talk with me about it>
thank you for your prayers>

Please pray for my sister, Beth. She’s 58, very loving, a living saint, and we just found out she has full blown lung cancer (both lungs, lymph nodes, spine, all over her chest, etc.). She’s taking it better than anyone (at least outwardly). Please pray for her complete healing. She’s trusting in God and so are we. We need to storm heaven’s gates with prayers to keep her here. Thank you.

I am just posting to say that I subscribe to this thread, & I pray for everyone of the prayer requests here…I just don’t post here, but I am praying.

Dear friends

Please pray for a friend of mine who is struggling in faith, she is put off by what she perceives as hypocrits in the church and I have told her that should not affect her relationship with God, she denies things and twists and turns about and contradicts herself, so please pray that the Holy Spirit will convict her.

Thank you for your prayers and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Teresa

Here I am again asking for prayer for my husband.
You all are a powerful force for good that I am so grateful for.

Husband is struggling to decide between staying with a not great but steady job or taking a risk and leaving it. If he were to leave it he would move to a job/business opportunity which could pay off beautifully or come to nothing. The not great but steady job he is at now is in an almost 4 year contract battle and he worries about walking away from a signing bonus that we have all suffered for but there is no telling when it will resolve. The other option is less known but would capitalize upon his God given talents in an environment he loves.

Please pray for discernment, wisdom, faith for him! His faith is good but he is a convert(from nothing) and not accustomed to turning to prayer.

Thank you all for your generous hearts and heartfelt prayers. His job has been such a trial lately but it is hard to trade the devil you know for one you don’t! He worries so much about making the right choice for his family. He would gladly stay with the present job he hates if it were clear it was best for the family. I truly can’t tell him which is better. I told him to pray on it and I would too.

Momofone,
we are praying for those children missing from Idaho(amongst others) thanks for bringing them to our attention again!

3C’s I am praying for your husband to find a good job. I too have had to walk away from work. Both times had moral objections to the way the company was run. The first time I walked away I had two small children to support. But St. Joseph interceded and I got the most fulfilling work of my life. I have recently walked away from a job that was ruining my health. I have not yet found a permanent job, I am confident that St. Joseph will lead me to one. I will say special prayers for your husband also. Please have courage and confidence

hello,
Please pray for my husband, he is an alcoholic, and is struggling with his addiction. Also his daughter, my stepdaughter, is in a halfway house for meth addiction. My mom and sister are addicted to oxycontin(spelling?). Please pray for them all to get off of the drugs and alcohol and to come to Jesus. Thanks for all your prayers and God Bless.

The most recent requests and past are in my prayers.

Please pray for me. I was recently terminated from my job. I began a retail job today to bring in some money for my family and to keep busy. I wish to get back into the field I have been in since 1998 which is Biotech. More importantly I wish to get back into the field so I can afford to go back to college to help change my career into one of service. I wish in my heart to be a drug and alcohol counselor. I am back to sobriety myself but I know if God wills it my hopes will come true. This is a dream I have had consistently for years but never pursued because I was more concerned with money, now that I am back to my faith I understand my life should not be about money but about helping those in need.

I also ask for continued prayers for my wife and her family, her father goes into open heart surgery on June 14th. Please pray for God’s will and for them to be strong through this rough period.

Thank You
God Bless!
Just to update this request.

I sent my resume online to an agency that deals in substance abuse and the care/treatment of patients suffering from addictions.
I received an e-mail the following morning(today) asking me to call to set up an interview. This is a great step and I believe it is coming from God with the help of all your prayers. This job would allow me to get my foot in the door of the exact type of agency that I want to work in for the future. I want to believe that this is God working right now in my life. I want to thank each of you for your prayers and if you would please continue to pray that seek God’s will and patience in the coming days. Once I interview I will be off the walls waiting for a response. I pray that I stay close to God in prayer and to Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother through my daily recitation of the Rosary.

I view this thread daily and update my prayerbook. To Jimmytoes wife, it was great to hear that you are getting better.

God Bless!

Thank You!

Joe

Please pray for one of our regular fellow posters - I don’t want to give her name for fear of in any way intruding on her privacy.
I have corresponded with her by email for some time now, so I feel I know her well, though I haven’t heard from her for a few days. She no longer has the use of her computer because the phone is cut off, so she hasn’t posted in a while.
She is in a very dire state, financially, because of prolonged unemployment, not that she hasn’t done everything possible to get a job. She is being evicted from her rented house about now, because of inability to pay rent, and I don’t know what will become of her.
Please pray that somehow she will find a job and somewhere else to live.
I’m not familiar with the social welfare system in the States, or whether it differs from State to State, so I don’t know how or why she seems to have no financial support.
But I am very worried for her. Please pray!

Hello everyone. My aunt has asked me to pray for her to have the strenght to quit smoking cigarettes. Please pray for her.

Thanks!

Ruby, I will pray for all of your family that they feel God’s healing. I am also going to pray for you because you are surrounded by problems right now. May God keep you strong in your faith to carry you along.

One of the members of my bible study this past year has died this week. I am praying for her family, all of whom were very close and dependent on her. She was a beautiful soul and I know she was very close to God. I think her family will be so lost without her.

My father had a heart attack three days ago. He will have quadruple-bypass surgery tomorrow [May 23].
I pray for his recovery and return to health. The older I get, the more I appreciate him.
My dad, Jim, went to meet our Lord in heaven on May 28, 2005. RIP, Dad. Thank you for being my dad.

And I pray for my Mom, Shirley, his wife of 47 years, who remains here with us. Theirs was a true love story. The void now in my mother’s life is immense.
