Hi. Could someone please pray for me and my family. We may be facing massive financial problems if someone pursues us to the courts and I’m really scared.

For my husbands uncle, who is in the final stages of his cancer battle. He is afraid to die and is not spiritually prepared. 😦
 
Please pray for a good friend of mine. She works two jobs and still doesn’t make enough for her and her son. In addition, one of her best friends is moving away, and another of her friends has abandoned her. She is stressed out and can’t sleep or concentrate. I’m really worried about her.
 
Continuing my prayers for this thread. Some progress has been gained on my end, which I owe thanks to lots of prayers. So, thank you for praying for my needs.

I would like prayers for:
  • safe travel and working enviornment
  • good mannered crews
  • for AD and his needs
  • for me and AD

For my husband. Just finished 4th week of Radiation. He is now starting to have complications from his cancer treatment. Losing his voice. Difficulty swollowing etc. 12 more treatments to go. 😦
 
For my aunt, who just suffered from a stroke. This is on top of her Lupus and other medical problems.
 
Please pray for my ex-wife. I hate her guts and just want her to leave myself and my family alone.
She will not stop causing us trouble.
I am happily remarried since 1996 now and my ex still acts as if we are together.
Please pray that somehow she can grow up or wake up and leave us alone.

My Aunt Helen passed away yesterday. Please pray for the repose of her soul.
 
Oh gosh, I don’t know where to begin, my heart and mind are so full of spiraling thoughts. Please, please pray for my family; my son is seriously threatening suicide and we have done all that we can think of to offer support, help and guidance, to no avail. He claims to hate himself and has no faith. He is so absorbed in self-hatred that he cannot see a future without pain. He has done everything he can to ensure a futile future by his actions (the latest being a DUI and hit and run). The opposite spectrum is our daughter, who has long been considering being a cloistered Carmelite nun, (she has no clue of her brother’s recent thoughts or actions), which would effectively leave us without family. My husband and I see such a bleak future. We are trying mightily to see God’s hand in these events and not to fall into despair. My son needs all your prayers as he is our firstborn, our love, our hearts, and has so many gifts to offer. We know that it is selfish to not want our daughter to be cloistered away from us, but we still struggle, as we don’t quite get how cloistered can possibly be better than touching people in the real world. Please, please pray for our family. Thank you.

Wow, she would have been the first one that I would have asked to pray for him, her heart is apparently already so close to God that she wants to spend her life in prayer to Him. I will pray for all who post here too. God bless you and all your intentions.
 
Pray for my daughter Samantha, that my wife Susan and myself as we try to find either a cosigner or a scholarship for the sum of: $5,000 (five Thousand dollars).
We have secured the remaining tuition but are short the final balance.
Samantha our daughter is a voice music major with scholarships for her beautiful voice.
We have until Thusday, August 17, 2005 to get the money to:

Please, please could you pray for things to turn out alright for me?

I have about $21 to my name. That’s not even enough for a bus pass to take me to the school I may or may not be starting in Sept.

The only way I’ll be able to pay my rent in ten days is to withdraw from the course and get the money back, as I have been denied student and personal loans from both the government and financial institutions, even with a cosigner.

I need a full-time job YESTERDAY, preferrably one with hours that don’t conflict with full-time school. LOL. I’ve been having some trouble finding one.

Sorry to bother you, but I really am getting really frightened. I left everything to the last minute and was too optimistic and now I’m really paying for it.

I don’t want to be evicted and really need to take this course.

Thanks so much. I will keep ALL OF YOU in my prayers.
 
Please, pray that my wife decides to get into RCIA and be confirmed a Catholic. She yearns for the Eucharist very much, but hesitates to take the next step. I’d be the most joyful man on Earth seeing my wife being welcome to the Church in the coming Holy Saturday.

I am looking for the Holy Spirit to show me what he wants me to do. EWTN does not broadcast in our area 24/7. I have contacted them about this and was given guidance on what I can do. Please pray that the Lord will use me as He sees fit in this situation. I would like to pursue getting EWTN on 24/7. If the Lord calls on me to do this it will take a great amount of time and dedication from my family as well. The other material broadcast on the channel is infomercials and Protestant ministers preaching!
 
I have been praying for this thread, especially those in need of employment.

I would like to say that many of my prayers have been answered. I have a week left and have been slightly upgraded in my job. I am in a new place, start training tonight, and possibly may get a pay raise. On top of all that, I feel like my faith has been growing, which is something I have been working on the last couple of months. I honestly can say that I’ve never felt happier in my entire life.

Tonight in this strange new place I found a red candle with St. Barbara (my patron saint) on it at the grocery store, right next to a candle of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I’d never seen a St. Barbara candle before, and just last night I had asked her to pray for me and this thread. Seeing that candle (in the veggie aisle, no less) only reinforced that she is indeed praying for us. :bounce:

Yes, but I like to record the shows at night so I can watch them later when I am awake!
 
I have read all the summer prayer requests and I have said a prayer for each one of you. I know that I should check this thread more often and will try to do so. May Christ continue to carry us when the burden gets so heavy.

Today I heard that my sister’s nephew by marriage was injured in Afghanistan. He is OK, since it was his hand that was hurt by a bullet. We don’t have details and he did call his parents to talk to them. Please pray for his healing and for all the young people we have in war zones that God will be with them and guide them to make the right decisions in these desparate times.

Will do Fitz, and for all who post here. One of our nephew’s just returned after a year there, and now we pray prayers of thanksgiving. Will continue to pray for us all and our needs, intentions, etc…Please keep my family in your daily prayers too.(I think that one about St. Barbara is awesome, just her letting you know that she took your prayer right to His Sacred Heart.)
