Prayer Requests #2

I have read that past few pages of prayer requests and you all are in my prayers. I have a couple to add to this list.

My friend has recently found out she has an aggressive form of Lukemia. She is in intensive care and on a ventilator now. She will be in the hospital for a month during this aggressive treatment. Please keep her in your prayers.

My daughter’s friend was injured in Afghanistan last week. He is doing well and he won’t be coming home. His family is still waiting to talk to him directly. They are a very prayerful and strong family, but they have three sons in the military and they need many prayers to help keep them strong during this time of trial.

I want to say a prayer of thanks for a job that my daughter started a few weeks ago. I am thankful it is a beginning for her. She is still looking for a job that will have insurance, but for the time being she can pay her bills and for her own insurance. I am positive that she is on a good path towards that. Praise God for He always knows what is good for us, and thank you for past prayers!

My cousin’s MIL passed away and the funeral is today. Pray for her soul and her family.

Please pray for me, my family, and my best friend.

For my family: We lost a relative this year to vasculitis, and it’s tearing them up with grief…

For me: I have a hard time in school, and I’m trying to get through the required classes to obtain my Associates Degree. I just can’t seem to stay focused no matter what I do. I also committed a major sin a few years ago, and no matter how much I go to church, pray, and ask forgiveness(Father doesn’t think I sinned, though, so I haven’t gone to Confession… he thinks I was tempted by the Devil), it is constantly looming over me and everything I think about. I’m scared I won’t get a job in a different department eventually at my work due to what happened… I’m also having health problems due to my weight, and I’m trying hard to lower it… I’m having a hard time finding friends who share my same values… my boyfriend left me because I won’t sleep with him… I’m struggling with my faith(well, I have been my whole life), but especially with the idea of kids right now… I have never had an “urge” to have children… and everyone is telling me i can’t be catholic if i don’t want children… i just want to be healthy, married, have a good job helping other people, and be able to attend Mass daily…

For my best friend: He just told me that he’s pregnant with his girlfriend he’s known only five months. He left the church and is now an atheist. She has one child already and wants the soon to be 4 of them to move out of state.

She is only 32 and has a daughter who is 1 1/2 years old. Please pray for her. Her life has been so very tragic but she has survived so much sadness and grief. I pray she will overcome this too.

For the repose of the soul Of Bob M. who passed away this morning.
 
I have several family members who are not Catholic, but one in particular for whom I have been praying for his conversion. Please pray for this family member to have his eyes opened to the truth, if that is God’s will.

He is sooooo close and yet does not even know it. 😦

For purposes of this request, I’ll call him Will F. -

Thank you Lily. 🙂 Bob’s wife Mary has an uncle who lives in Australia. He is a Cistercian Monk and is stationed at Tarrawarra Abbey,Yarra Glen, Victoria,Australia.

Coming from Australia it will mean a lot to Mary I know. She is very close to her Uncle.
