Trump himself is a big promoter of conspiracy theories,
Which ones are those? You mean like high ups in the FBI conducted a fake Russia conspiracy theory to destroy his candidacy? You mean like the one where the DNC contracted with foreigners to get Russian-generated false information, and got the head of the CIA to leak it to the media? Do you mean that “conspiracy theory”. Or is it the one where the FBI and some in the administration, including Joe Biden “unmasked” political opponents and falsified records to get FISA warrants to spy on a member of Trump’s campaign staff?

The thing about those conspiracy theories is that they’re not just theories.

QAnon might be as bad as some say. I don’t know anybody in it, so I couldn’t say. But the article you cited with which to condemn them is really lame.

Like citing a pastor in a church in Miller, Missouri, an Ozarks backwater town of 700 people. Now there’s some persuasive authority.

And the following.

A 2018 poll from BGC found that 46% of self-identified evangelicals and 52% of those whose beliefs tagged them as evangelical “strongly agreed that the mainstream media produced fake news.” It also found that regular church attendance (at least once a month) correlated to believing that mainstream media promulgates fake news (77% compared with 68% of those who attend less regularly).

Mainstream media companies have even admitted to publishing false stories. So why is this a conspiracy theory? What does it have to do with QAnon or this congresswoman Greene?

QAnon might be as bad as some say.
Maybe its as bad as the FBI says. The problem with these conspiracy groups is that the naive take what the groups put out as true. That’s how people have been killed.

Its not just fun and games.

Some in the FBI spent the first two years as a conspiracy group. That’s dangerous because they also have law enforcement powers.
That said, how many people have died due to QAnon?

I honestly do not know who QAnon is but from the posts here it is apparently a group who theorizes about conspiracies.

Nepperhan . . .
social networks have begun trying to pull QAnon groups off their platforms
So you are complimenting these groups? 😉

Obama and Hillary created ISIS, for one. Take a look at this program:

Or here’s the transcript:

How many persons has QAnon killed? Who were they? How many city centers has it burned down? How many unborn children has it killed?

The FBI? When the FBI reforms, I’ll take their word for things that touch on politics. Not until then.

How many deaths due to false internet conspiracies? Think of the three dead cops in Pittsburgh. You never saw the movie “The Fisher King”? Its wrong to push the weak-minded to violent action.

Its not just conspiracies, but obviously false hoaxes. The rumors happen to be dangerous. And Trump is ok with this.

Watch the movie “The Fisher King”.
Read the first amendment.
Socialism is the most dangerous economic system in the world. Over 100 million civilians died at the hands of socialists in the last century. I think people who promote socialism should not be silenced.

Opinion.
I think the numbers point to it as a fact.

Estimations
So, you want to quibble about whether or not the tens of millions of civilians killed results in over 100 million. If we add Hitler’s millions in (he, too, was a socialist), does that get us closer?

huh?
People who promote socialism should not be silenced, despite the heinous history of it.

Capitalism has killed more.

Just a portion listed here:

General Disasters by Capitalism:
Hamburg Cholera Outbreak 1892 10,000
Union Carbide Bophal Disaster 15,000
Industrial Revolution Kids & Adults USA 100,000
Chetnik Collaboration & Genocide 100,000
Herero and Namaqua Genocide 110,000
Burma-Siam Railroad Construction 116,000
Albanian Genocide 270,000
Fascist Independent State of Croatia 900,000
Armenian Genocide 1,500,000
Famine of 1932-33 (Kulak policy and weather) 7,000,000
Great Depression (America alone) 12,000,000
Children Killed by Preventable Diseases Since 9/11 208,000,000
Children Killed by Hunger 2001-2008 9/11 235,000,000
Children Died from Hunger 2009 5,256,000
Children Died from Hunger 2010 6,000,000
Children Killed by Hunger during the 1990s 100,000,000
Capitalist Policy in India 1947 – 1990 120,000,000
Cigarette Related Deaths Worldwide (1960 – 2011) 306,000,000

But ultimately:
Capitalism does not kill people.
Communism does not kill people.
People Kill People. Period.
Actions of sapiens (our species) kill people

First, fascists are socialists. They practice full control of the means of production, despite the veneer of private ownership.
Without going into your document, the point is that, unless someone is calling for violence, speech is not violence. To conflate speech with violence is a deception typically used to silence speech.
Admittedly, I know little to nothing about QAnon. I really don’t care. What I do care about is the free exchange of ideas. If YouTube or Facebook want to ban, they should give up Section 230 because they are now publishers, not a platform.
That’s my only point.
