I have no idea what you think are these rumors and hoaxes are from this group.

I too am concerned about hoaxes.

Like the phony Russian collusion hoax that the country got fed night after night for years by the MSM.

Or the MSM burying stories about a prolific child sexual abuser was also in a sense a hoax (by virtue of them burying what is a REAL story).

The initial MSM reaction to the Jussie hoax was in and of itself a hoax.

There have been MANY hoaxes by the MSM against the American citizens the past several years by the likes of CNN, ABC, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, etc.
Facebook, Google, Twitter and others as well.

I am glad you are so concerned about hoaxes. I am too.

.

ABC “News” played fake Syrian War footage not telling its viewers.

It was associated with (you guessed it) criticism of President Trump (what a surprise).

Here are some of the details.

Here is political satirist Mark Dice uncovering yet another conspiracy theory.

The fake theory by some on the left about President Trump removing mailboxes in an effort to win an election.

what research have you done on pizzagate?
I know enough to know that you are defending a baseless hoax conspiracy that induced an unfortunate man to shoot up an innocent pizza restaurant with an assault rifle. I also know that you should not turn this Catholic forum into a cesspool that entertains that kind of garbage.

anyway, its been fun. hope to see you on the other side some day. if only so i can laugh for once because whereve we end up, you’ll know by then that you deleted the innocent to protect the guilty.

This is coming from a man who believes that the Illuminati is real and that numerous celebrities are agents of them.

Then look into the ‘Hillary pedophile / DC pizzaparlor’ hoax. There are a number of them. And Trump is ok with the hoaxers.

As one poster noted:

you’d think catholics would care about the truth, but in the end we’re all the same. if the truth is uncomfortable we just ban it, delete it, cancel the person who tells you.
Calling it the truth does not make it so. Falsehoods are damaging. Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Christ places great value on truth. It is for that very reason that Christians oppose falsehoods.
thats why its useless. because you don’t even care to look at the evidence. you say there is no evidence and when we try to show you…
What real evidence have you tried to show? Not opinions, but just evidence?

I remember talking to a believer in that Pizzagate conspiracy theory. It’s impossible to reason with people who are firmly committed to something like that. He’d show a picture of a mop closet and go “See?! This is where they hid the kids before molesting them!” and I’d say, “uh…looks like a place they stored mops and cleaning supplies.” And then he huffed and puffed and said I was complicit in human trafficking or something.

As an aside, I used to live a block from that pizza place in DC. I used to get takeout from there occasionally. It really was just a pizza restaurant.

Clearly I am a monster who just doesn’t want to see the truth.

The problem is that people start from the conclusion. They start with the premise “there is some kind of child murder sex cult at Comet Ping Pong in the Van Ness area of DC” and then make any “evidence” fit that conclusion. They find a picture of a pizza cutter and go “aha! This is clearly an instrument of child torture!” ignoring the much more obvious idea that it’s likely something they use to, you know…make pizza.

The problem is that people start from the conclusion.
That is pretty much the definition of every anti-intellectual pursuit. An intellectual pursuit follows evidence wherever it takes you.

My wife has a former friend who has fully taken to Qanon. It’s really sad, and even worse that she home schools her children.

It’s hard to summarize in a simple forum post, but this conspiracy has taken over her life. It shouldn’t be minimized. She has sacrificed relationships with friends and family because of the comfort provided by internet lunacy. It’s tragic.

Am I the only one who, upon hearing the phrase ‘deep state’, immediately thought of the book Deep Politics and the Death of JFK by Peter Dale Scott?

I just don’t have time. Sorry.
Check this out concerning Mary Ann Mendoza, tonight’s speaker at the RNC convention:

" Mendoza, an “angel mom,” is scheduled to speak Tuesday about her son’s 2014 death at the hands of a drunk driver who was in the country illegally. Her tweet on Tuesday linked to a lengthy thread from a QAnon conspiracy theorist that laid out a fevered, anti-Semitic view of the world. In its telling, the Rothschilds—a famous Jewish banking family from Germany—created a plot to terrorize non-Jewish “goyim,” with purported details of their scheme that included plans to “make the goyim destroy each other” and “rob the goyim of their landed properties.”

Drawing on more than a century’s worth of anti-Semitic hoaxes and smears, the thread claimed that malevolent Jewish forces in the banking industry are out to enslave non-Jews and promote world wars. Riddled with QAnon references, the thread from Twitter user @WarNuse claimed that the Titanic had been sunk to protect the Federal Reserve, and that every president between John F. Kennedy and Donald Trump was a “slave president” in the thrall of a global cabal.

The thread also promoted “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” an anti-Semitic hoax popular in Nazi Germany, and claimed that its allegations about a Jewish plot to control the world are real.

“The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is not a fabrication,” the thread that Mendoza shared reads. “And, it certainly is not anti-semetic (sic) to point out this fact.”
