From whom?

If they never took a test, it would seem that the notifications they received were fake from some scammer.

I’ve been tested. They didn’t just give me results. I needed to receive them from a portal. You don’t get the information on how to access it unless you tske the test.
 
That is a shameful statistic.

160,000 deaths.

New Zealand has been covid free for 100 days.
 
Botching this pandemic response is a serious dereliction of duty.

But I can understand.

First he spouts out “fake news” for 4 years meaning any news that isn’t fox.

People believe him

Then they refuse to believe anything negative because they were told it’s fake.

Then they believe propaganda pieces, and altered maps and defend it.

Then 160, 000 dead, and it’s no big deal. The best he could do.

When pointing out other countries were able to flatten the curve and squash it, refuse to look at statistics, it’s fake news.
 
Adjusting then the US should have had: 13 deaths compared to Italy.
 
We were told it was 15 cases going down to 0.

He recently repeated that it will just go away.

He also stated yesterday that the flu pandemic of 1917 was the cause of the end of the Second World War, because all the soldiers were sick and couldn’t fight anymore.

New York City has not yet implemented indoor dining.

It’s permitted in New York State with proper precautions and limited seating.

The positive test results are about 1 percent of those tested. Some days higher some days lower. Averaging about 600 cases per day still.

I believe yesterday there were 2 fatalities in New York State.
 
Well of course. The U.S. is the third largest nation in terms of population. The biggest, China, can’t be believed in anything. The second, India, may not have a handle on how many cases it actually has. The countryside in India is remarkably primitive, and a good part of the cities are as well.

Per capita, though (and forgetting China and India) the U.S. is 10th in known cases and 13th in deaths. Of course, since detection is much better in the U.S. than in many places, it’s probably lower in reality. As I demonstrated previously, the U.S. is not even in the top 20 when it comes to new cases per capita.

I realize liberals want to paint the U.S. as the worst country and blame it on Trump, but this really is not supported by real evidence.

But it’s beyond the pale when you leave off the nine countries ahead of the U.S. in number of cases and the 12 ahead of the U.S. in terms of deaths. That really is taking political partisanship too far even for a Democrat.

I read the article and I stand by what I said. Trump has completely mishandled the covid-19 crisis, shown no leadership and it will cost him re-election. Can’t wait for Novemeber to come.

You must be joking. In general he is the worst President in US history and his handling of the covid-19 crisis has been a disaster that has cost thousands of American lives.
He knows he is going to lose in November. Even Fox polls show him fairing badly and they are fanatical supporters of Trump.
You should bookmark this thread then we can discuss again after the election.

Now that I think about it… similar with me.

I have known only one person who had covid.
But I also know someone that was claimed to have died from covid, but was never tested.
