** ** PRAYER TO ST. MONICA
Dear St. Monica, troubled wife and mother, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith. With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion of your beloved husband, Patricius, and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered. Grant me that same fortitude, patience, and trust in the Lord.

Intercede for me, dear St. Monica, that God may favorably hear my plea for
the wisdom, perseverance, and patience for me and the continued
sobriety, compassion and wisdom for my husband,

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things, through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Code:
I humbly thank you dear St. Monica for taking my prayers with love and tenderness
and placing them before our Beloved Father and His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.
You have asked Them for me to grant these lowly intercessions for our good that we may
better serve Him and one another.
AMEN:signofcross:

Prayer to Saint Joseph for all sick husbands to find help.

O glorious St. Joseph,
friend of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
thou whose power renders impossible things possible,
come to our aid in our present trouble and distress.
Take these important and difficult affairs
which we recommend to your protection,
that they may end happily.

O dear St. Joseph,
all our confidence is in you.
Let it not be said that we have invoked you in vain,
and since you are so powerful with Jesus and Mary,
show that your goodness equals power.

Amen.

St. Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
pray for us and for all who invoke your aid.

St. Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
pray for us and for all who invoke your aid.

St. Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
pray for us and for all who invoke your aid.

Well, I’ve been away for a few days because I was so sick (my constant morning sickness) that I couldn’t keep WATER down. I’m on Zofran now, just like with DD, which I was trying to avoid. 😦

DH still hasn’t found a job, and I just can’t bear to keep working. For so long I’ve been longing to be home with DD, and now with all these pregnancy woes, it’s even worse. 😦

I should be happy with this new little one on the way, but I’m miserable. I’m not praying to be a millionaire, just that DH can get a good job with benefits so I can be home with our kids. I’m having a tough time understanding why God doesn’t seem to be helping us with this. :crying:

Please pray for us if you can, because I just don’t know what to do anymore. :crying:

Hello to all, I just wanted to add my husband and marriage to this list. I am going to try to really commit to praying daily for him (for his conversion) and for the state of our marriage, as it has been VERY difficult with the prospect of divorce brought up constantly.

Thanks in advance for your prayers and I will do my best to faithfully pray on my own - adding in the intentions of all of the other wives in this thread!!

*Belle,
Glad to hear from you. Sorry to hear about your sickness, though, and that your dh still hasn’t found a job. I know Our Lord is going to help you, though. Please hang in there. I am praying for you!

Much love,*

Thanks mom4truth. :hug1: I just keep wondering when, when will help come?

Hi everyone, although I don’t write often, I do read the posts, and pray for all of you, that we all can find peace within our situations, and keep our faith and hope in Jesus alive as well. I know it is so difficult. But it does help to know that I am not alone. Belle, I am so sorry for you, I know how terrible it is to work and want to be home with your baby. I feel the same way, I don’t expect to be rich in monetary means in my life, I just want to be able to take care of my child and husband at home, but am unable since my husband has not found it in himself to take care of us. I am praying constantly for a change, for a good opportunity for him, anything that might shake him up and WAKE him up! 😉 I am meeting with a priest for some spiritual guidance next week, I hope that he will be able to help me with the despair and anger that often creeps in and takes over me…any good tips or prayers I will share with all of you. God Bless us all! 😃

Belle,
I know what you mean. Sometimes it seems like the Lord takes forever. But I try to remember that God’s time is not our time. The spiritual world’s timing is quite different from the earthly world’s. So — with that being said ---- I know it doesn’t help (at least it doesn’t help me most of the time) we just have to keep praying that God’s time will SPEED UP!

God’s Blessings Upon You,

Hi Ladies,

A bit of good news: dh and I have been doing much better for the past week - 7 straight days. Now that’s record for us! Must be all you ladies praying and our dear St. Monica! Thank you all, and I am praying for each and every one of you!

God’s blessings to you,

MonicaRose, I’m sorry to hear that you know my pain. I’ll pray for you right now, that we can both be delivered from the sadness of having to leave our children each morning, and that your DH can take care of your family like he needs to. :hug1:

God’s Blessings Upon You,
You’re so right, and the thing is, I’ve known that all along, but my impatient human nature keeps begging for things to change now. I know God has a wonderful plan for me and my family (Jeremiah 29:11) but I’m very impatient and just don’t have much steam left.

God’s blessings to you,
Praise God! :extrahappy: Thank you God for a good week for M4T and her DH and family. May it only be the start of the rest of their happy lives together. :hug1:

Welll, some bittersweet news: my grandfather Fred (a Catholic) died early this morning after complications with Alzheimer’s, a brain aneurysm, and pneumonia. He is so loved and so missed. Please, if you can squeeze in one more prayer for me, let it be for the repose of his soul and for peace and comfort for our family. (I guess that’s two prayers :o)

Belle,

Praying for your grandfather. I’m so sorry to hear this news. He will be in my prayers!

God bless you and your family.

Much love,

Belle10,

praying right now for your grandfather Fred and for you and your family!
