**PRAYER TO ST. MONICA

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea for

the conversion of my husband, healing and salvation of our marriage, and the strong faith of our son, the conversion of all sinners in our families and of the spouses being prayed for here by CAF members,**

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.

Please keep me in your prayers ladies. I am arid and dry beyond description. I’m lonely and feeling very unsure of things right now. It has been so “dark” of late and my soul is aching.

I know God is especially near right now as these times are when He is there more so than ever. As I sat in Mass the other day contemplating on my inability to pray anything other than the old stand by prayers, it occurred to me when I feel the most empty, the most dry and completely alone in THIS world, I AM empty, and God has filled me up. I simply need to “learn” to be able to draw on that presence and “feel” God within. But it’s so hard. I just can’t find it. All I can do is cry for what is missing. I now own stock on the Kleenex company for all the tissues I’ve used…LOL (that’s a tiny wry chuckle)

Lamb,

This journey can often be lonely, can’t it? I find myself feeling the same way you do, often. I will be praying daily for you and holding your hand, spiritually. Please hang in there. We all love you at CF! God’s Blessings,

Little Lamb, let your Mother hold you too…
As she is capable of holding both in her arms!

I felt the same thing when i seen it. With all i could scrape together for a year, i framed this beauty with it being my picture from my sons estate. I needed this more than his headstone at this point, for i need presence in my home.

In the end it cost me about 800 for the two foot wide, by three feet tall picture, double matted, and framed. Now to tell you the truth, i did it in stages. I could not find the print here, so ordered it through the states for about 95 bucks. The boarder charged me an extra 85 for delivery from their to my house 30 minutes away…grrrr. Then i had it laminated as a precaution, as it was going to be over my fireplace…another 100. I then told them what i wanted, and refused to look at prices, as they layed out all of the choices for matting and frameing.

The frameing cost me just under 400. I know, that is expen
sive, but i had a vision of what i wanted, and i wanted this to be a forever picture treasure. This stage took me 6 months to pay off.

A year latter i had the picture, and my heart lept…it would not have sufficed being small, i wanted to see/feel her presence. She knew my pain watching her own son die, and live without him, as did I.

I guess some people could walk in, order, and pick up, but the sacrifice i made to have this was important to me. My next purchase will be of Jesus knocking on the door. The two together make for an entire collaberation of my beliefs.

http://www.illusionsgallery.com/Bouguereau.html

It is on the second page…i know this gallery does not have all of his paintings, and actually, this picture is hard to find crossing languages, it comes up often as another picture.

I love this one because it is non denominational kind of…what i mean is it is natural, feels more realistic, and therefore makes me more able to look up into this picture, pray to her, and visualize not being alone. She is my mother, my comforter, and knows what i need, as does Jesus, my teacher. Both made possible by GOD only. When i feel their presence, only then is it complete. The trinity of course…as the Holy Spirit is the TOUCH of God…the physical part we crave so deeply.

So, when praying, ask for his help (the HS) to come into your heart…praying will never be the same. It is not a knock me over, but you learn through spiritual listening, that it feels different.

The HS gives me comfort for The Mother, Father and Son.

This last one actually does not mention that the prelude is called The Storm. It represents our turmoil and pain. It is always played just before The Anchor Holds. I love songs that reach out and feel my pain…and yet God is there for me…all tattered and torn. If we were perfectly not in pain, we would not need him.

The trick is being able to see this pain is for good reason. The reason is to NOT go through this alone. We can do it alone, but i can guarantee that Satan will use our lonliness to his gain. Before long we will feel like giving up, as he depleates us of the presence of the Lord making us weak vessels.

The other route is to see the depression and void we feel, and recognise that it is a feeling “without” him. Take back your heart from Old Red Legs, and tell him to quite frankly, “**** off”. Tell him your woulds are only for your Lord Jesus Christ, and rebuke the terd! In Jesus name, take back your heart…for this i will pray.

He can only get to us (S) if we allow it. Funny thing, often we do not see it comming, or we would be wonderously without this torture of his gain in our lives. It is in seeing the symptoms of depression, and futality we need to realize we are feeling so alone, because we made it so.

Jump, run, sprint, do what ever you can back into his arms, and the pain is then tolerable. Remember to ask him for the Grace to Endure. This will specifically remove the physical ACHE, the hurt, right from us, and fillit with the one true gift of life.

This is what i wish for us all, to be good stewards of our hearts, and know, HE is the only true spouse we have.

You can see by my music choices, i am a huge Ray Boltz fan. He has the gawl to sing of pain and resolution…it is a more complete form of praying for me. It gives me a venue to bring my troubles to the foot of the cross. Today i accidentally came across a Ray Bolts Song i never heard before. Or might be that it never spoke to me. I MUST add it…so here it is.

Ray Boltz lives 3 doors down from my dh’s boss. In fact, I will be going there on the 31st for a baby shower (my friend that’s having the baby is friends w/one of Ray Boltz’s daughters).

At my old Baptist church, there was a guy who sang “Watch the Lamb” every year at Easter time. I love that song!

Prayer to Saint Joseph for all sick husbands to find help.

O glorious St. Joseph,
friend of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
thou whose power renders impossible things possible,
come to our aid in our present trouble and distress.
Take these important and difficult affairs
which we recommend to your protection,
that they may end happily.

O dear St. Joseph,
all our confidence is in you.
Let it not be said that we have invoked you in vain,
and since you are so powerful with Jesus and Mary,
show that your goodness equals power.

Amen.

St. Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
pray for us and for all who invoke your aid.

He WAS and IS the reason why i am able to get so close to God, and grow. You see, i need music to do it, and to be able to relate to the song. There are so very many of his songs that touched both Will and myself. The storm, and the Anchor Holds from his Allegience CD was my first, and still my favorite. When we found out Will was terminal, i did not know how to hold on to what i knew of God.

Ray Bolts was my angel, and leason back into the life of prayer and Gods arms. I really mean it, so very inspirational, and deeply a part of my spiritual life with Will.

Please tell him for me, if you can. Sometimes people are never sure if their music really touches a life, or changes it. In this case, he was the tool that allowed me to gain strength to live with the plan God had for my Son. Now today his music holds my heart…sooo many memories, and i am trying hard to make them a part of the life we lived, instead of representing a part of my life i lost.

I don’t know what else to say, but to pass on my blessings.

Ladies:

Finally, I have some decent news. My dh has been “decent” for the last couple days. I wouldn’t say he’s brimming over with love and compassion, but he’s acting like he’s concerned about our family again. I’m praying that he will continue feeling this way. It must be because of all your prayers! My mom prays the rosary daily for his conversion. That could be helping too. Anyway, just thought I’d share some GOOD news for a change! Thank you, girls! Always praying for you!!
