PRAYER TO ST. MONICA

Dear St. Monica, troubled wife and mother, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith. With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion of your beloved husband, Patricius, and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered. Grant me that same fortitude, patience, and trust in the Lord.

Intercede for me, dear St. Monica, that God may favorably hear my plea for
the wisdom, perseverance, and patience for me and the continued
sobriety, compassion and wisdom for my husband,

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things, through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Code:
I humbly thank you dear St. Monica for taking my prayers with love and tenderness
and placing them before our Beloved Father and His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.
You have asked Them for me to grant these lowly intercessions for our good that we may
better serve Him and one another.
AMEN:signofcross:

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. Things have not been good for me lately and I am going to be taking a break from these forums. I have been on another one that discusses the Personality disorder that my H has. It has been helping me come to terms with things as there are many people who have been there too. I will remember you all in my prayers and keep praying for my husband, but I have not been in a good place lately. It has been very hard.
God bless you all, I may check in time to time but wanted to say this if I didn’t.

Belle10,
praying right now for your grandfather Fred and for you and your family!

BeeSweet,

Just wondering how you’ve been doing. Still praying for all us women and our husbands!

God bless us!

I am praying for everyone here…trying to get on my feet, and just as i did…company came upon me. No time to do my thing, two teenagers taking over my computer, and i am ok with that, as there is not much here for a teenager to do…but i miss my own time on it.

Do teenagers EVER sleep…

I sneak a peek before i fall asleep, each pee break in the middle of the night, and still they are online. Then i get the kids up for school, eager, starring at the computer like it was a warm piece of pie, “in an hour, you will be mine!!!”

Then off to school i take them, and arrive home with a Tim Hortons steeped tea, ready to get online, and…

Who’s there at my desk…??

Invasion of the teeny-boppers!..lol

Oh well, life is to short to cry over it…a nervous break down however is in ready mode!

Diana…where for art thou?

BeeSweet,

God bless us!
You’re sweet to me ❤️ I’m hanging in there! I hope and pray the best for you and everyone else here too!

Thank you for this thread. My husband is an unbeliever, a lapsed convert. As he is also sick with depression, chronic fatigue, and arthritis I also ask God for his healing.

God, through the love and merit of Jesus and Mary, I offer You all my husband’s good deeds, sacrifices and trials, in prayer for his salvation, fulfilment, happiness and peace. Foster him as Your own child, for if he truly knew You, he would be a loving, obedient son.

I offer every frustration and disappointment, all sadness and suffering of his life, together with his pleasures, satisfactions, and achievements. I offer him to You, united in that terrible hour that Jesus cried out to You, “My God, my God, why have You abandoned me?” Thus may his sufferings be powerful prayer for souls. In Your mercy, please unite him with the Mystical Body so that even without his knowledge his life is a living prayer pleasing in Your sight.

If in any way, I fail to convey Your love to him, or I do not enrich his life with warm gifts of my nature, please forgive me and heal him. Guide me to give him the love, joy and goodness that you have united us to share, and lead him to love me freely and honestly.

Please forgive and overcome his cynicism and doubt. Open him to Your Spirit. Let him experience Your love in his life, so that he enters into sacramental faith and dedicated Christian ministry. Grant him resurrection with Your Son Jesus.

For Dean
Fallen leaves and broken branches
tell of life that was.
Shattered pride and faded dreams
lie scattered in the dust.

Yet whispered through the endless pain,
unheard within his hopeless heart,
his soul cries out,
“Forgive me. Heal me. Give me Life again.”

God please grant my prayers for my husband’s healing and conversion,
and please grant the prayer of all my sisters-in-Christ who are longing for our husbands to find You and come wholeheartedly and faithfully to the Church.
St Monica, please intercede to God for our husbands.
Thank you. Trishie

Trishie:
That was beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes! I will keep you and your husband in prayer!

Lana:
You are WAY too funny. It’s fun having teenagers around isn’t it? And NO, they don’t sleep, at least not when the rest of the world is sleeping!!

Keeping everyone in prayer on this thread! Lord, Have Mercy On Us!

Hello everyone…

My grandfather’s funeral Mass was beautiful. I was honored to sing (with my Dad and some of my siblings) as well as give a remembrance of my Pop-Pop. We trust he is with God, but we miss him already.

I have been (obviously) family-and-self-centered the past week or so, but will resume praying for all of you too starting right now! I hope today is a great day for all of you and your families. :grouphug:
