St. Monica pray for us! Praying for our husbands....

I told my husband i was busy packing, and he was going to stay at the farm tonight, and Fridays he usually does anyhow, so we will not see him untill Saturday at about 3pm…i intentionally did this. My thinking is i am going to play dumb.

I know he is jelous, and mad because i am helping my brother move into a new place, one floor below where he is now. From a bacholor to a 1 bedroom finally. He is usually pretty good, but he got so overwhelmed, and disorderly, and turned to drinking. I had to talk him sober, and then stay at his side till it was done.

I need him moved, because the next week or so…by months end, i have a move as well, and i need him to help me, and not be still busy with his…so we are helping each other.

So for DH, i will turn a blind eye, knowing full well he will get ripping drunk tonight and tommorrow…by saturday, he will be ill.
And back on track…he will think i do not know, and that is ok.

Will be praying for all husbands and wives on this thread today along with prayers for my husband also. I too so long to have a supportive husband who comes home at night to spend family time with me and the kids with out the accusations and inflicting guilt about my ability to handle my job, kids, the household etc.:signofcross:

the two job leads did not work out for my husband, so now he is down in the dumps again…😦 so I am nervous about this weekend as I know when he feels bad, he usually works pretty hard to make me feel bad too.

Saint Monica, please pray that we will have strength to accept our husbands as they are, and to treat them with love, even when it seems most difficult to do so!

I am so sorry that you are feeling so bad, that you want company, but i have to be strong for the both of us, and the children right now. Is there anything i can get you…do you want to rent a movie and go veg for awhile, i will understand if you want to be alone. Don’t go too far though, stay near so that i can help if you need me to.

St Monica, please intercede for all the wives who have posted on this thread. Please intercede for the conversion of our husbands, as faithfully as you interceded for your husband and your son. Please grant the graces of happy marriage for all who have posted requests.

For all mothers here, i know i can ask this…for prayers for a family in distress over the loss of their 22 year old son. He was hikeing in the gorge (cliff area of Niagara Falls) and went missing. Seems everyone thought the other had told the parents, and went missing untill the end of the next day. He had fallen off of a 37 meter cliff and died. Please pray for them, as loosing a son so very young will not be an easy task to bear. Also pray he was not in pain and lay there alone in the dark.

Praying for this young man. How sad, but I know that Our Lady was there to comfort him and that she will comfort the family, too. God bless and have mercy on this family. Amen.

I am hopeing that if the plan is already in motion, and we have to accept things we can not change…to be able to ask and accept the grace to endure this. Sometimes our heart is so overloaded with where to turn, that if we could, we’d run straight into the arms of Jesus. So why not…run!
