It is true that God is the God of the living. However it is a different relationship between the dead and the living. The dead are no longer in this world for one.Mk 12:26-27 - he is God of the living, not of the dead
One place to look is Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 which says–And where in scripture does it tell us that? Scripture specifically tells us that they are not dead but alive. So where does scripture tell us that they are dead to us here,
