The term "Herd immunity" only refers to those who live. Please stop using it?

Wow! I can’t believe the autism myth is still floating around, much less the idea that vaccines make others sick! Did I step back in time?

Really people, if you have any sense, look into this claim no more than once and then quit wasting your time with this dangerous rumor. The science on the matter is quite clear. If they ever do have a COVID vaccine, I would sincerely hope those children of anti-vaxxer parents are not allowed to return to public school. Maybe they could have their own anti-vax private school where they teach the Earth is flat and the four elements are earth, fire, water, and air.

passsing the Vaccine Injury Law and at the same time drug companys were free of ever being sued for vaccine injurys and ask yourself why this permission to not be sued occured?
That’s easy. It was done to encourage the development of vaccines in an overly-litigious society.
and who the investors were and still are?
People who wanted to make money? Isn’t that what investors do in a capitalistic society?

Also I am quite sure that the protection from lawsuits would only apply as long as the company did not violate government safety regulations. So it is not a get out of jail free card.

yes but today there are so many vaccines for things like chicken pox and sexually transmitted diseases and then polio had to be changed and pertussis has always been a problem and has been changed a number of times. Why dont they get them right before they inject them into healthy babies? Why do they get to mandate the vaccines as if they are all equally safe when they are not?

Children unvaccinated are put to risk by children who are vaccinated.
This is utter nonsense.
Didn’t the vax insert warn recently vaccinated to stay away from immune compromised people–those on chemo, etc? I think they refer to that as viral shedding in the vaccines that contain an “attenuated” live virus. Measles/MMR is one such vax

A study of the 2015 Disneyland measles outbreak found that about 38% of suspected measles cases were vaccine reactions, not wild measles spread by unvaccinated kids.

Public health officials in New Hampshire publicly admit that MMR vaccine causes measles

health officials in New Hampshire recently admitted that Merck & Co.’s combination MMR vaccine for measles, mumps, and rubella was the true cause of a measles outbreak in the area that rabid pro-vaxxers were quick to blame on the unvaccinated.

If you want to hear a different perspective on “herd immunity” than you get from the vaccine salesmen check out Dr S. Humphries, a fairly recent convert to Christianity.

Different perspectives are in no short supply on the internet. I would encourage people to ignore all the medical advice given here and speak to your doctor.

Then they didn’t contract measles after all, which runs counter to your claim that vaccine causes measles. In some cases it may have caused a reaction that appeared to be measles.

Outright false! What the New Hampshire health official reported was that New Hampshire public health officials have determined that a case of measles found in the city of Keene was likely the result of an adverse reaction to the vaccine itself. Another single case of a reaction to the vaccine - not an actual contagious infection of live virus. But of course your anti-vaxxer websites spun it with a false headline, didn’t they?
If you want to hear a different perspective on “herd immunity” than you…
As pnewton said, there is no shortage of “perspectives” on the Internet. If you search for the one you want, you will most certainly find it.

This is an excerpt from the package insert from the MMR vaccine.
"4.2 Immunosuppression
Do not administer M-M-R II vaccine to individuals who are immunodeficient or immunosuppressed due to disease or medical therapy. Measles inclusion body encephalitis {4} (MIBE), pneumonitis {5} and death as a direct consequence of disseminated measles vaccine virus infection have been reported in 3 immunocompromised individuals inadvertently vaccinated with measles-containing vaccine. In this population, disseminated mumps and rubella vaccine virus infection have also been reported.

The contents of the insert seem consistent with what I wrote.

I wonder if the vax salesmen spin "disseminated measles vaccine virus infection " as an “adverse reaction.”

The survival rate is 99.7%. The USA has had about 50 million COVID cases not 4 million so the lethality of COVID is a lot lower than we think. But i agree, large parties should be banned. If we could have washable N-95 type masks, COVID infection would plummet as compared to cloth masks as the person with COVID would be even less likely to spread it. It would be nice to know who are carriers and who doesn’t have it so that we wouldn’t need to quarantine healthy people and would also know when someone had COVID so they’d only need a single 2 week quarantine.

It is likely that without social distancing, 500,000 people would have died in a 2 month period to get to herd immunity. It is likely that 500,000 will die if we reach herd immunity in 3 years because of flattening the curve. It’s been a huge failure as you have not only the death toll but the economic fallout, the increase in mental health issues, kids not getting educated, and unreported abuse.

Again people, please ignore those who are trying to give you medical advice on these threads. Ask your doctor, or at least the experts like the CDC. The internet can be hazardous to your health if you heed every off the wall theory out there.

That is the debate about the differing approaches used in Sweden–minimal lockdown, and nearby countries that had a more typical lockdown.

A reasonably short lockdown would have given medical professionals time to learn from mistakes–misuse of ventilators, not sending infected people into poorly prepared nursing homes, etc.

If our medical and research systems were honest it would have given us time to learn to address vitamin D deficiencies, the use of steroids against the cytokine storm and learned how to safely use hydroxychloroquine EARLY in the illness, not in people in the ICU.

The history of vaccines for coronaviruses is not encouraging and reports about the very short length of time–months-- a vaccine’s effects may be beneficial is not encouraging but we are giving researchers time to develop a vaccine.

If there is a connection, it is a slim one.

the use of steroids against the cytokine storm
Yes, we know about that now, and putting patients on their stomachs occasionally. All these things have lowered the death rate significantly.
and learned how to safely use hydroxychloroquine EARLY in the illness, not in people in the ICU.
…or not at all, since HCQ has no proven benefit.

I think this is in reference to the observation that certain antibodies developed in response to covid-19 when someone recovers are seen to decrease significantly after a couple of months. But this in itself is not a problem. The antibody response normally declines after an infection is over and done with in all diseases, even those that do confer lifelong immunity. That’s because the production of these antibodies is carried out when needed through the memory stored in T-cells. It is not from a continuous presence of those antibodies.

after a child receives a vaccine they call it " shedding". They can spread the actual illness they got vaccinated for to other people.
Wrong. They can spread a reaction to the inactive virus, which appears somewhat like contracting the disease. But it is not a live infection.

You researched, Good for you! Never the less, they can make any unvaccinated person around them , ill, the same things the pediatrician tells a parent will probably occur to their children after their vaccine and that means they can also have a Vaccine Injury as well, a " rare" devestating reaction. Thanks for pointing that out.

It is sad that what started out as a rather good point, allowing the virus to spread to develop herd immunity is a disregard of human life, has not devolved into a anti-vaxxer platform. This anti-vaccination movement may be small, but it is so entrenched in its own set of arguments, it can no more be refuted that alien abductions.

Please, listen to your personal doctor and experts like the CDC, or major medical research centers like John Hopkins, and major universities. Do not look to internet discussion for medical advice.

i dont agree with your assumption about how children were regarded as wierd kids but you think they were just undiagnosed autism children. What is the documentation on that theory?
