I find that hard to believe since they are still mentioned here. I also see the word ‘theocracy’ from time to time.

Yet they are still regarded as some kind of threat.
Only to honest Christian beliefs. And Christians are the only people who bring them up.

Just like Christians who debunk evolution. As niceatheist said, unless someone wants to teach nonsense in schools, they are generally considered amusing.

People post what amounts to AIG = Threat. Reading anything from AIG makes you one of them. You can assess their words yourself. Anyone can.

I don’t think I understand. Are you saying people here think of me as a threat because I posted a video from AiG? How so?

Hey. The Creation Museum and The Ark are fun places to visit. Where else are you going to see humans and dinosaurs romping together? The tree of life picturerama is beautiful. The gardens are beautiful. The Ark is a work of art (and love). The “theology”? Not so much.

Aren’t Catholics supposed to believe in the historicity of Noahs Ark?

What’s AIG/AiG? I looked it up and only see the AIG insurance company.

So what makes you think that anyone here would find them credible?

Oh… the time dilation theory… i’m familiar with this one. It’s contingent upon a whole bunch of “what if’s”… it starts with the premise that the earth is only 6000 years old, and starting with that premise it envisions all sorts of fantastical “what if’s” involving time dilation. It’s not that it’s impossible… it’s just that there’s no evidence for any of it. It’s not science. It’s wild speculation.

I am someone who believes in theistic evolution. It works with the views of Augustine of Hippo and even Calvin.

I often avoid evolution topics because I don’t understand why it’s THE litmus test. Why that topic? Why not the atomic model the vast majority of people believe to be true? The stupid electrons orbiting around the nucleus image most people have? It’s not true. Why not lose our minds over that instead?

I frankly don’t care if some don’t want to believe in human evolution. It’s inconsequential to me or even to much of society.
