Well they sure think they know better, thats for sure.
It would be nice if they asked the citizens every once on a while, don’t you think?

I mean, does ANYONE even know what this " China trade deal" thing is even about? But people do know why Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt split up. And milk is $3 a gallon, so everything is fine.

Toilet paper shortage…went to our Walmart early this morning for “senior” day at 6AM and we went to the paper section…The shelves were bare with the exception of about six containers of eight…well, I grabbed two and was wondering as I was putting them in our cart if someone was going to start yelling and saying one per family…this is so sad that I have to be so cautious about getting TP…am I starting to feel a sort of “fear” in my selections…YES!
 
It’s seems to be getting more available around here. I’ve seen it the last several trips to the store, including this morning.
 
I heard that the price of oil yesterday went to like -37$ a barrel for s bit. If I understand this correctly, oil customers who normally buy oil for $30, 40, or $50 dollars a barrel were for a time yesterday being paid $37 a barrel to take oil off the supplier’s hands because there was such a huge oil glut (surplus) that the suppliers didn’t have room to store it and needed to get rid of it as soon as possible.

This was a few weeks back, but I had a conversation with a man who works at one of the local Sam’s Club locations. He said they had 700 cases of toilet paper in stock when the store opened at 7:00 a.m. By noon they had less than 50 left. As someone posted upthread, sooner or later, toilet paper sales will crash because we’ll all have enough to last us into 2021. If not 2022.

Good! But can you tell whats going on with the US China trade deal? What are they discussing behind closed doors?? Its not right to have these discussions behind closed doors. Its the people’s money!

its true. It actually went down to -$68

I went to Dutch Brothers today. They would only accept digital dollars for my coffee today.

I think we need to start researching and thinking about our money a little more, people.

No, I don’t know what’s going on. If I did, I’m sure I’d be breaking some law if I leaked it. I like my home and have no plans for prison.
 
maybe we already are in a type of prison.

I agree, a comfy couch and Netflix with a government check coming in is nice. But I don’t want that life for my 16 year old son. He is miserable right now. Most of our younger men are lost and miserable right now.

Of course, hopefully this situation won’t last forever, but even before this hump, there was little room for freedoms and future. Anyhow, I’ve gotta get going.

I haven’t used cash money for anything but playing the lottery (because in the US you’re not allowed to use a card for that as of now) and putting two dollars in the candle box at church, for several years.
Digital or cards is the way to go. Nothing sinister about it.

As for a 16-year-old feeling confined, I know that it’s tough on young people, but plenty of young people around the world have had to deal with hardships and if having to be in the house for a couple of months is the worst thing he experiences in his young life, he’s probably still in the top 5 percent. His life is unlikely to continue this way for long in any event.

Not on my floor. :woman_shrugging:t2: At least not for the amount of time it would take me to stack it up, film the stunt and take it down again.
