Good grief. I can’t believe I just wasted 10 min of my life reading catharina’s anti-gun hysterics.

“Everyone who carries a gun is an aggressor, looking to shoot someone!!! YEAARRRGGGH!!!”

I don’t find enough evidence to condemn any one in this case, and it is surprising to me that anyone would.

The unfortunate conclusion of this, regardless of what any or all evidence concludes is this: race riots, more people killed and Obama being re-elected because of his race alone, again.
Such inspiring thoughts gives me such a warm glow of confidence for the future. 😃

Right,

Me either, I can think of one individual whos in dire need of small weapons training though.

Indeed, this is simply “race baiting” as well. It’s going both ways by the less level headed in this whole affair.

Perhaps racial prejudice had something to do with this case and the dismal way it was handled, and perhaps it did not. The investigation will illuminate this.

For the rest of you, have a good time with this topic. I just hope you remember that he who screams loudest isn’t always right.
Thanks for this.

As Thomas Sowell mentions the Duke Lacrosse “rape” case, here’s a little reminder of the past - quote from enduringsense.com/tag/jesse-jackson/ :

In March 2006, Mangum, an exotic dancer, became famous claiming that Duke Lacrosse players sexually assaulted her. Many, including the Leftist press, jumped to the Progressive cultivated conclusion that there is racism behind any interaction between blacks and whites. Later, all charges against the players were dropped proving that not only was there no racism, but there was no crime.

Ms. Mangum is an unstable and pitiful individual. At the same time she is a product of race-baiters who pray peoples’ miseries to further their own interests. Jesse Jackson quickly jumped into the Duke Lacrosse players’ matter offering to pay for Ms. Mangum’s college education. Also, within a day of the Duke players being charged, Al Sharpton said: “There is a lot of racism that’s in the air” when asked about the charges. Yes, there was racism here, but it emanated from Jackson and Sharpton who have yet to apologize to the Duke student’s whose lives were so affected by the false charges.

The Left refuses to call the Jacksons and Sharptons in our society for their deplorable actions, which is why it continues to the detriment of those who are actually impacted by real racisms.

This is the last thing that I will post on this topic. This whole thing has come down to speculation, race baiting, baseless accusations, and hyperbole. I will wait until the people who are duly appointed under the law make a decision on what happened and what happens next. I am semi-guilty of feeding the frenzy and if it is going to stop, it has to stop somewhere. For me, it will stop with me. I’ve posted an articule that expresses exactly my feelings on the subject.

Of course, central fact: a child is dead. He was killed.

Well it’s about time you said YOU HAVE NO IDEA IF HE STEPPED ASIDE instead of placing blame. I’m going by what the man said, (operator)- "we don’t need you to do that (Zimmerman) “OK”. The burden is on you to prove the shooting wasn’t provoked.
I know, rather, that he should NOT have been following the boy in the first place.
All of law enforcement says so. It’s a dangerous, foolhardy practice and one that
can very easily lead to tragedy, as it did.

I have no idea if he stepped aside.
I also have NO idea why Zimmerman was following the boy in the first place.
That the central point. WHY did he follow this “suspicious stranger?”
I have no clue.

Neighborhood watch says:
Observe, report, do not follow.
Did Z forget those rules?

There is no burden on me to prove anything.
My point remains:
Why was Zimmerman following this boy?

Yes, he is, and it is a tragedy. But I think too many of us are jumping to conclusions before we know what really happened. We were not there and apparently there was only one witness to come forward at this time. I think it would be prudent to pray for the dead young man and then wait until all the facts come out.

I personally called the New Black Panther Party (which is not the historic party but a tiny fringe group) racist and anti-semitic. I also stated that they are seeking to incite violence through their irresponsible commentary.

This fringe group’s response, nor the bombastic comments by Sharpton do not characterize the calls for justice in this case. Focussing on this dynamic by the some segments in this issue is equally race baiting.

It is them saying “look at that mob! Look how they act? Fear them!”

**Most folks (72% of Americans) simply want this case investigated properly,

as it was not done initially. **

Why is this concept so hard to grasp?

Do you have link that shows this poll? I only ask because the poll I saw said 72% of people wanted Zimmerman arrested. Which is a totally different situation.

The investigating chief has stepped aside.
The department is know for its very recent acts of racism - in investigations.
Those “acts of racism” were found to have no wrongdoing in the internal investigation.
