You misquote me. I merely asserted that for the billion + Christians, that Jesus is God is the Truth. For everyone else, there is whatever. I did not insinuate that BECAUSE a billion people believe that Jesus is God makes it true, it is because Jesus is God that a billion people are Christian, and those who don’t are not.

Just a comment, if you aren’t Christian, what are you here for? Is there a point to you coming here and participating? Are you trying to proselytize some of the members into heathenism? I’d really like to understand the psyche of someone who is an avowed non-Christian, who goes into a Christian discussion forum and participates in religious discussion. That would be like a auto mechanic participating in a medical lecture. Either the mechanic deep down wants to be a doctor, or he dislikes doctors so much he is trying to talk some into being auto mechanics. Either way, do you really think you are refuting anything, or do you just enjoy seeing you name pop up so often in the threads?

Well, since you have no objective standard of truth, then it is all relative. What is true for my concerning atheists may not be true for you, so what exactly are you refuting? Are you refuting MY sense of truth? That is awefully pompous of you. Are you trying to persuade me to accept your version of truth? What if I like mine? Why do some Catholics go to evangelical websites? Some like to argue, some just want to see what the “other side” is saying, some are considering jumping ship. WHat makes people do what they do? I am not a psychologist. Why are you here then, really?

Atheism is a religion.
Atheists DO deny God. You either accept that there is a God, or you don’t, it really is as simple as that. Don’t give me the “I can’t reject something that doesn’t exist” arguement either. It is lame.

As I believe that all paths lead to the same end, and don’t believe in forcing my religion on other people, then no. If someone here chooses to study another religion that is their choice. If they choose to study the same religion as me and choose to ask me a question, I’ll answer. But I am not here to convert.

As I said, I am participating in discussions and trying to clear up misconceptions about my beliefs. I could care less how often my name “pops up” in the threads. I participate in other forums so I could just watch my name there if I really cared that much (which I don’t). If non-Catholics aren’t wanted here, there shouldn’t be a non-Catholic forum.

Pointless discussion. According to Blessed, all truthes are equal, all paths lead to the same end. No objective Truth, no objective morality, no ultimate consequence, because after all, if all morality produces the same effect, then even patently evil action yields the same result. Net effect, why bother to be good? Why give to charity? Why help the helpless? Why should I just live to gratify the urges of me, myself and I, if it all ends up the same?

There can’t be completely because while certain things may be moral to some, they are immoral to others. However, there are things that are inherently wrong - murder, rape, etc. I believe in harming none, including one’s self and that covers a large range of things. So I do have morals to live by.

What one does comes back to them in the end, in one way or another, so there is always consequence for one’s actions, good or bad. People need to take responsibility for their actions. For example, I am not an advocate for abortion because if someone chose to have sex and became pregnant, they need to take responsibility for their actions rather than just avoid any responsibility by aborting the baby.
