**Why do so many churches not place the tabernacle in the center of the altar or in a prominent place?
Can we talk about this…why in so many newer churchs when you enter them you can honestly not figure out where the tabernacle is?The directives from Rome – including the new Missal issued two years ago – say that the tabernacle in which the Blessed Sacrament is reserved is to be located in a very prominent place either at the center or at such a side altar that it is really prominent and that around it there are kneelers and chairs so that people can pray – kneel down or sit down. And it is to be so prominent that nobody should need to look for it when you enter the church.
Therefore, whenever you enter a church and you look for the tabernacle where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved and you do not easily see it, then those who arrange it are already wrong. Because it should be prominent – it should stand out – to show our faith.
However, it is not a law that it must be at the center.** But it is a law that where it is should be prominent**. And that it should be easy for people to see it and to go there and pray. But unfortunately in some churches, sometimes those who did it did not know. But they did not know that they did not know.
So you enter the church and you ask where is the tabernacle? “They have taken the Lord away and we do not know where they have put Him”. That’s what Mary Magdalene said on Easter day.

have they ever been to a Latin mass? I am sure if you could get them to just one she would have a change of heartMy mom, whom I love very much, was raised a Methodist. She converted to Catholicism when she married my dad. I urged them to return to the Latin Mass and my mom kept getting very angry with me. I could not understand it because I really believe if my dad went he would love it. So one day I asked my mom why she wouldn’t even consider it? She replied: "I am perfectly happy with the Mass the way it is now. It is what I grew up with."
Says it all in a nutshell. I moved from that area, where I attended the Latin Mass every Sunday, 3 years ago. There isn’t one nearby me now … I attend the N.O. and it brings tears to my eyes because of what is lacking. I come away wondering if people understand that it is JESUS in that Tabernacle. I wonder if they would actually dress and act the way they do if they understood the impact of what is happening during Mass. So I pray and hope that soon God will bring that beautiful Mass to an area nearby … until then it is a sacrifice I offer up.

Why are you citing this publicly as though I did something wrong? You asked me this in my PM and I replied. Could there be another reason?why are you quoting my sisters blog in this? exactly what does that have to do with this video? did you ask my sister permission to quote from her blog? when quoting from any blog or site, do you not need permission to do so? i’d think so.
I too am a bit confused on that one…I guess I don’t understand where she thinks using altar girls is traditional.Oh well… sigh
there is no consipracy against you joysong…get over it.Why are you citing this publicly as though I did something wrong? You asked me this in my PM and I replied. Could there be another reason?
iam not stating that you did something wrong joy, iam only wondering why you quoted something from her site without her permission. chances are, she will correct me on thisWhy are you citing this publicly as though I did something wrong? Forum rule #4:
Do not post others’ e-mail addresses, private messages, or private e-mail sent by them unless they give you permission to do so.
There is no statement in the rules regarding permissions for statements made in the public arena, which is the very purpose of blogs. Your sister posts this in her profile, so if her comments are not to be requoted, it should be removed from her advertising. Additionally, she would need to make a statement in her blog to the effect that everything contained therein is copyrighted.
Plagiarism? the act of appropriating the literary composition of another author, or excerpts, ideas, or passages therefrom, and passing the material off as one’s own creation. The OP’s blog linking to the video states that the video “asks” the following four questions:
Is the Church still Catholic? Has She lost the true faith? Does the clergy still truly “believe?” Can we count on today’s Church to lead us to salvation?
More assumptions. Show me where I said it was a conspiracy. I asked why the need to repeat it publicly when she had already sent me a pm. Many times, Marian Carroll has stated not to post something publicly that is of little interest to others, but to send a pm. Why is this your concern?there is no consipracy against you joysong…get over it. She stated/posted a question …she did not post your reply…Think about this…did she post this before she sent you a PM…more than
Now you are really stretching it and barking up a wrong tree legally. This is not copyrighted material. Period. Blogging is in the public domain, and MUST have a formal copyright notice if they intend for it not to be used.Avoid quoting from copyrighted works. Instead, paraphrase what is said and provide a link. If you do quote, limit your quotes to one to three paragraphs.
you are really paranoid joysong…Ah, yet another derogatory spin, Karin. It appears that the crime lies not the action itself, but the PERSON who performs it, as to whether or not to jump on them. Not one single word when Tassitus posted from her blog, huh? Biased conspiracy? You guess what I believe.
Ah…I stand corrected joysong…I do see that you have mentioned the Blog that you pullled it from …it did not show in my post that I qouted you in though so I am in error…I APOLOGIZEPlagiarism? the act of appropriating the literary composition of another author, or excerpts, ideas, or passages therefrom, and passing the material off as one’s own creation.
A straw man argument, for I did in fact not quote her words as my own, and gave a little more reference than Tassitus, for I at least named her instead of using OP.
Why shouldnt it be? It was posted on a public forum…and once again she posted it on this forum before she sent you that PM…so what is your problem?More assumptions. Why do you not do some research before pointing fingers?

Why do i have to go on a search and find mission for something that should be prominent that it stand out!
yup can we talk about this…ok, point made, can we get back to the post?![]()
The Catholic gives thanks in prayer for his new day…
The traditionist prays and says, I’m glad I’m not one like them, and when will you give me back my rights…
Whom does the Lord hear?
And what do you suggest to someone who cannot find an orthodox home.Yep. and frankly, I’m getting tired of hearing/seeing this kind of whining. If you truly believe that “the gates of hell will not prevail over it”, find an orthodox home and stick with it. Let the few oddballs crumble.
Yes - we can move along. Tired of the bickering.
I’ve watched about the first third of the video so far and I have to say that while much of it is shocking and horrible, I am quite concerned about the taking small clips and bites out of context. I’m not saying that much of this is not true, but I’m just very leery about a montage of quick images like this which is clearly intended to incite emotion and reaction. They have an agenda - and while some of that agenda might be well meaning, I am still suspect of their full intent with this piece.
I’ll watch the rest of it, but I’m not sure yet what I truly feel about the whole thing. I am by nature a skeptic, so it remains to be seen how I will feel by the end of it.
Too many meetings today - this work thing is crampin’ my style!!

How can you take a priest doing the limbo…people dancing around like ballarinas (sp??), and other things out of context…they should not even be occuring so as to enable one to take them out of context. This is just a couple of small examples among a plethora of things…Also, how can you take a Pizza Hut Church out of context?
