Who will you be supporting in the U.S. presidential election with our Catholic values in mind?

I will support whoever the Democratic Party nominates for President.
I have never been a fan of the present President and voting for a third-party candidate is just a wasted vote, since we have no run-off election.
It would be nice if we changed the Presidential election laws to allow for a primary election for President. Our of all the many people who run representing the main two parties and all the smaller parties, the top-two vote getters would go to a run-off election, unless the top vote getter in the primary won by a 50 percent, plus one margin.
I would like to see the co-called electoral college done away with.

The electoral college is what makes our government a republic. It is what allows people of all lifestyles to have a voice. A complete democracy would favor issues faced in cities where the population is dense.

Democracy and the rule of law is what makes our country a republic.
One person, one vote. Minority rule is no better than living in a country that is ruled by a dictator (facism) or a collective (communism) of a group of people. Because the will of the people is not followed.

You live in california? Come here and see what democracy looks like.

No. Democracy does not make a Republic a Republic.
Minority rule is no better than living in a country that is ruled by a dictator (facism) or a collective (communism) of a group of people.
You realize that fascism was supported by a majority, right? That Hitler and Mussolini were legally elected into office by a majority, yes? Riding on the wave of the majority, they then proceeded to turn their respective governments into dictatorships thanks to the majority.

Being pro-life makes Trump an easy choice. Just because he boasts and bullies doesn’t alone make him a bad leader. There may be social justice reasons not to vote for him.

There needs to be mutual respect on both sides, whether you’re a Warren voter or a Trump voter or don’t vote at all.

No I live in Texas. We have been under GOP rule for over 25 years. Thanks to the GOP, our public schools rate among the worst in the nation. Our highways and other infrastructure are crumbling.
All this, despite the fact that this state is among the biggest producers of oil and gas.
It’s the old story of the rich and the rest of us.

No, what makes him a bad leader is the way he deals with Russia, China, and North Korea. Hell, he is scared of Turkey.
I love his health care plan. crickets churping
And his immigration reform plan. crickets churping
Oh yes and all his other plans. crickets churping
But he did give the wealthy, not your average American, in this country a huge tax cut.

Then you know what I mean.
We have had three lousing GOP governors - George W., Goodhair, and Ironsides. Coming attraction – Kookie Patrick.

I skipped the President vote on the ballot last time because neither was fit for office, and went on to the next portion of the ballot and voted for a candidate in every other race.

I can not support a person who lies, cheats, steals, bullies, sows division, and is in general a person of bad character and not a christian. There is nothing about Trump that I respect. I don’t believe he is pro life, conservative, or any of the things he claims to be. He didn’t make a sudden personal change a few years ago from a lifelong history of being the polar opposite of what he claims now. Has he done some things that people who are pro life or conservative like, sure. It helps to throw the folks who got you elected a scrap every once in a while.

Based on the number of people he brought to Washington with him who are now in jail or have indictments against them, or are tied to people being investigated now, based on the number of career people who have worked for him for a short time and basically threw up their hands at the dis-function in the administration of our country, based on the number of truly conservative, long time members of the republican party who have left the party in the past 2-3 years, there is no possible way I could support him this time around either.

For me to support someone who is completely immoral because they do something good every once in a while goes completely against my conscience. Others are free to do as they see fit.

Whatever you do vote for someone who has a good chance of winning and is against abortion and supports religious liberty.

Make certain you vote against the prohibition of the income tax on Tuesday, so the state can get some additional money, they need it. 😃

Russia, China, DPRK, and Turkey rather have a democrat in office than Trump. Not wise to be going around saying Trump is afraid of these countries, hes the only one doing something about these problems that was left untouched for decades.

Hmm. Maybe vote that they use more wisely the money they already collect. Plenty of taxes being pulled from you pocket in many different ways already.
