Then why in the world do they let the Democratic Party be hi-jacked by people who believe that a woman has a right to kill her baby that she helped conceive? Why not accept responsibility??? Give the baby a chance…

When they are less than 20% of the total Democratic Party… they don’t have a choice

I’m still hoping some knight or princess will come riding in on a white or black horse and save the day. Wishful thinking, I know, but hey, it’s better than nothing.

At least it’s not Trump vs Bloomberg. Whole country would implode

A wonderful bird is the pelican. .
Its beak can hold more than its belly can.

You also should know that the KKK was formed to resist the Republican Party during Re-Construction Era.
Well, since the Democrats were the first to have a nominee elected president who was Catholic and the first to have a nominee elected president who was of African ancestry (not to mention the product of a racially-mixed marriage) probably the KKK view of the two parties has shifted slightly in over 150 years. (The infamous David Duke has tried to capture the nomination of both parties, so I suppose he thinks they’re Coke and Pepsi to KKK voters. He would know.)

(Talk about a very dead horse…)

I don’t think the odds have changed all that much. The two majors parties might implode, though.

Nothing isn’t the only alternative. We need better parties.

Don’t look now, but the GOP candidate trying to win the last governor’s race in Oregon declared himself pro-choice. (Yes, he lost anyway)

My 5 year old has been scheming hard to become a queen. She asked if there was a queen school she could go to. Her sister told her no, she has to marry into a royal family. I added or topple an existing government and declare yourself queen. She thought about it for a minute and said she’d rather do that.

So just know…kids are out there scheming.

Libertarians declared their 2020 Presidential Nominee is Jo Jorgensen. She is an academic and activist.

I really don’t agree with the libertarian party platform but I voted for them in 2016 as I felt bolstering a 3rd party (that actually is a party with some chance of become relevant) would force mainstream politics to consider alternative policy goals. Might go the same route this November while hoping Trump loses.

“I would never have accomplished this without the support of my mother…” 🤣

The problem with not voting in the next election is conceding to the march toward total disintegration of our government, dictatorship, a failed state. A democratic republic takes active participation for the good, not just tearing apart the “other” side. The system as it was created works, but only if the citizenry takes responsibility for respecting and defending the rule of law and the three branches of government, embracing that we are all united Americans. e plu·ri·bus u·num
out of many, one (the motto of the US).Can anyone else see that taking a totalitarian right or left, I’m right you’re wrong, rigid, philosophy does much more harm than defending what you think is right and good.

Interesting. Who are the American Solidarity and what are some of their main ‘selling points’?
The American Solidarity Party bases many of their positions off of Catholic social teaching. They believe in a consistent life ethic as well as a just economic system. Broadly speaking, their more conservative on moral issues such as abortion and the family, but more liberal on economic ones (to frame it in context with the US political spectrum).

They’re the only political party in line with Catholic social teaching. Neither of the major two US parties are. Yep, I said it.

I agree that it can be much better, but to say that it works in this form, has been increasingly questionable for some time now, not just American democracy but democracy around the world.

Democracy is easily defined as MAJORITY RULE OVER THE MINORITY, it sounds fair & equitable, but yet the majority are suffering from the many problems this causes. Free speech is also a fundamental pillar of democracy & we can all see that it has been curtailed over the decades, ever tightening.

As for voting, yes we must all vote if we are to have faith in democracy, my statement suggested to vote for the alternative if the same 2 parties are always doing the same thing.
If we continue to vote for the 2 major parties, we are giving them permission to continue on with the same & nothing to very little changes. Vote for change by taking your vote away from the 2 majors & vote the alternative
We tend to vote on what a party stands for or what the candidate represents, instead we should be shaping the candidate, shaping the party in the direction we all want to go & not let them shape us. We must elect our leaders to wholly & truly represent the sentiment of the majority, for better or worse our elected leaders must put aside all bias of their own interest & focus only on what the voting majority wish.

It seems that the planet is slipping away from this beautiful ideology of pure democracy, history shows that the road to pure democracy has been slow & getting much harder.

I think I’m going to get more votes than the American Solidarity Party at this point 😆

And maybe Trump too for that matter

. I’m a lifelong member of the Democratic Party. I’m pro life.
I was a lifelong Dem too until I realized one could not be one and still be prolife or a faithful Catholic. I think looking to Biden to “unify” this country is illusory. This country is divided about the most fundamental principle; the right to life. Biden is on one side of that issue, Trump on the other. Until the whole country embraces prolife or goes fully pagan there won’t be unity.

Yea, I am serious.
Many countries need US support.
Without such support the national liberation and political efforts of these nations can be trampled by imperial conquerors or smashed by tank caterpillars, and these efforts without US support can remain heroic only before God, but solitary, without support these nations can’t stand the oppressors.

So if I were American (which I am not ) I would probably vote for Donald Trump in the next election.

I would NEVER vote for a Democrat and I think any true Catholic shouldn’t as they stand for everything not Catholic.

The other parties seem quite insignificant as well.

This would lead me to vote Trump but who would you vote for? Or are a lot of Catholics just not voting?
I vote for Pro Life and pro religious freedom for Catholics. So until the platform changes, I will be voting Republican, regardless of the person running.
