I’m sure buffalo was speaking metaphorically. It’s almost like this board - we’re all supposed to be on the same side at some level.

Try applying a little logic here. “Proof” of what might happen in an alternative timeline, if this or that had happened, is impossible, at least for anyone except God.
Oh, so when you say that we would have had better outcomes if we had only done this or that, you don’t really know that for sure. So why do you keep presenting that argument?

You don’t have to answer that. It’s time for me to step away from the internet as I have things to do. I may or may not check in at a later time.

Ruthann, you’re giving me some hearts.

Whatever has gotten into you?

(That was an attempt at humor)

Only if an investigation shows the administration did wrong will I accept it. That’s the way things are usually done in this country. Not just accusing people of having done terrible things.

Farronwolf: nothing he has done has any effect on the number of abortions…

Please read some of the postings before, especially the one by VIctoria33, which is brilliant.

Why haven’t you mentioned the other problems all devout Catholics have with Biden, including officiating at a gay marriage, and uttering not a word as Obama attacked nuns, and other Democrats attacked anyone belonging the Knights of Columbus?

There are dozens of very troubling issues that are going to be decided soon. All of them make me weep for Catholics if Biden is elected. Will it be the end of all Catholic hospitals - court cases by liberals certainly threaten them. Will Catholic churches and schools lose all funding unless they teach heresy?

You know, speaking of the Kurds, I have supported them but you have had car bombs on the border of Syria/Turkey that killed people. It’s hard to think some faction of the Kurds did not do this. They aren’t all total angels and it’s pretty conclusive that some have even fought for the Palestinian efforts against Israel who has sympathized with the Kurds by the way. So, the Middle East is a murky place indeed and there is a lot of real propaganda out there.

So, I support the Kurds but some in that movement probably have done wrong. It’s hard.

I don’t think Turkey is doing that much right in Syria but they probably are doing right in Libya. It’s quite complex.

Showing a person how to fish does no good if they don’t have access to the river.
You have to show me evidence of active blocking.
You have to show me evidence of access to that river.

Trying to be objective, I think we won’t really know until maybe 5-10 years from now what was a good response and what wasn’t. I’ve certainly made my point with respect to thinking the US did a good job, but we really won’t know until years from now. We have to see how this ends first then evaluate the data.

Because other countries who have done this or that and have had better outcomes, and it is what public health officials have been recommending for months.

If a gay marriage bothers you, don’t go to one. It’s not as if Biden as President is going to do anything on this issue.
and uttering not a word as Obama attacked nuns,
because Obama didn’t attack nuns.

(don’t know what you mean.)

You don’t have anything. Just what you have been told. In fact as I outlined we have many minority access problems that result in reverse discrimination.

Just a few of the programs.

Grants for minority businesses
Grants for minority students

I’m voting for Kanye West
What is his platform? Is it responsible to vote for someone without knowing his position on various issues?
apparently does not manage money too well

a believer in the prosperity gospel (i.e. worships money)

and from these news reports, I’d guess WEST is another stable genius type (in science related topics like climate change)

I was simply expressing my personal opinion that if you refuse to participate in the process then you have no standing to complain about the results.
A voter doesn’t have grounds to complain either.

Leaf, you’re excusing literally every unpalatable or anti-Catholic policy by Joe Biden on grounds that he didn’t do the act personally.

The problem with that is he’s proposing to be the boss and wants to direct others. By all accounts no one can point to a single document (order, letter, etc.) by Hitler directing the murder of Jews, and he certainly did not personally kill them by his own hand. However, we know he caused; orchestrated; and directed the holocaust - and so it goes with the president: the president orchestrates; orders; directs.

I always rejected that argument. “I don’t believe in abortion personally but publicly I will vote for it.” How weak is that. Wrong is wrong, always.

Can you explain then because I don’t really understand it?
