Interesting that the Pope is upset by the location of the US embassy in Jerusalem…

…yet he turns around and essentially sells out Catholics in China to the communists there.

Very little logical consistency there.

All our popes have been very supportive of Palestinians along with Jews in the area. If you don’t trust Pope Francis, maybe Pope Benedict or our beloved Pope St. John Paul II will be better to read on matters Israel.

@LilyM I think if you look at the full history of LBJ’s antics, many of which were hidden from the public, he comes out the clear ‘winner.’ It’s nauseating to read about.

Oh I’m aware. And I’m certain that in the next 50 years lots of hitherto hidden dirt about Trump will surface too. Oh well, time will tell.
 
All I’m saying is, I don’t think he (Trump) is in the habit of holding conversations with his aids while he’s sitting on the John - I think we’d have heard about it by now if he did.

Then why do you support Biden who recently said he agreed with abortion up until birth?

Right now, the pro abortion Democrats are trying to pass a $66 billion spending bill which would fund, in spite of Trump’s removal of funds, abortions here in America and…so depressing…fund perhaps millions of babies to be murdered abroad. There are 42 MILLION babies who are slaughtered by abortion every year.

Vulgarity comes in many many forms - by no means does Trump have to clone LBJs behaviour exactly to be just as vulgar.
 
I will assure you, I have voiced support for exactly one political party, the American Solidarity Party.

Absolutely true … but the democratic party is for more than merely abortion, they support euthanasia via physician assisted suicide and in my state and it became law …

Even people without health insurance receive medical care in America …

The Democratic party does not support affirming life issues and supports many ‘causes’ at war with Church teaching …

And Biden has said he will force the nuns and other religious people to violate their faith … I think religious freedom is important

And going back to the unborn … if you have no right to life at its most innocent … all other rights have little meaning . .because if you are dead - you do not need food, housing, medical care or freedom … all of those were taken from you with your life

Nope! I have literally seen reports of people having to choose whether to buy diabetes medicine or heart medicine because they can’t afford both and going with whatever will prevent the quickest death.
 
There is help out there … perhaps those people fail to find it … dont look, dont know or are embarrassed or reluctant to seek the aid

And of course - even those with health insurance and medicare sometimes struggle with costs … but then of course - some people are not good with managing their finances either and fail to prioritize properly …

Or some people live from hand to mouth and can’t afford expensive medicine.
 
People living from hand to mouth have the ability to receive public assistance and in addition there are programs offered to low income people from pharmaceutical companies and charitable organizations …
And that is one reason why I believe there should be accountability for people who fraudulently take public assistance and those who enable them should stop …

As just one example, LBJ would often have long conversations with people as he was sitting on the toilet or soaking in a tub - he’d make them follow him into the bathroom.
 
This needs to be a different thread. Those without insurance who cannot pay out of pocket are just “not trying hard enough” or “can’t manage their finances” are accusations which cannot be tossed out without question.

I hope you start a new thread so this can be addressed
