Tell you what, if George Floyd was already having breathing problems - be it from.fentanyl or for whatever reason - BEFORE a knee was applied to his neck, that is all.the more reason that officer should have known better and makes that officers actions all the more heinous.
Not disagreeing per se, but that doesn’t make it racist either. To attribute racism as race-baiting wolves are quick to do is wrong. (Not that you did…)

Even beyond the abortion issue, President Trump is stronger than Joe Biden regarding the following:
  • appointing Federal Judges who support the right for Christians to LIVE our faith, the Constitution, and law and order, instead of Judges who invent their own laws from the bench
  • religious liberty and conscience protection so that doctors and their assistants are not FORCED to participate in abortion, and so Christian bakers, etc. are not forced to participate in un-Christian activity
  • ability for Catholic organizations to hire only those who support the organization’s mission
  • protecting the Electoral College, so that Middle America still matters in Presidential Elections
  • war on poverty: lower unemployment rate than any time in 49 years for several months up to Feb. 2020 (before the Governors’ business shutdowns with the explanations being to help stop the spread of the Chinese coronavirus)
  • an economic system that best help minorities, as opposed to pandering platitudes. According to the Department of Labor Statistics, Hispanics and African-Americans were enjoying their lowest unemployment rate and highest median income in recorded history all the way up to February 2020 (pre-covid-19 business shutdowns)
  • freedom to choose private health insurance. Democrats want to eliminate your Blue Cross, Independent Health, etc.
  • supporting school choice for kids in poor school districts. Democrats stand in the way.
  • freedom from unnecessary the government control that exists in socialism, communism, and fascism
  • all Governors who declared abortion “essential” and Mass “non-essential” are Democrats
  • freedom against being told what kind of vehicle we can drive, how much hear/air conditioning and water we can use, whether we can ride airplanes or own cows. The Biden/AOC Democrats’ “Green New Deal” has been estimated to cost $94 trillion over the next 10 years, which would be $60,000 per year per household, including adjustments you’d have to make to your house, office buildings, etc.
  • freedom of speech
  • peace through strength: increased funding of the military
  • protecting American citizens from drug cartels, sex trafficking, gangs like MS-13, and mysterious diseases from entering through the southern border
  • support for the police and other law enforcement
  • protecting girls from boys in their bathrooms and sports competitions

an economic system that best help minorities, as opposed to pandering platitudes.
To what uniquely “Trumpesque” system are u referring?
freedom against being told what kind of vehicle we can drive, how much hear/air conditioning and water we can use, whether we can ride airplanes or own cows.
I do wonder why it would be good for a government to not care about vehicle standards, or the consumption of finite shared resources etc. We do live in communities you realize? We are not each “islands”.

increased funding of the military
How much is enough? Have you compared US military spending versus other big military spenders? US well in the lead!

Where is US leadership (and spending) on the battlegrounds of the future? Artificial Intelligence, medical research…

How much of the federal receipts from taxes should the top 5% pay?

10% 30% 50% 80% pick one
If the bottom 95% (say) cannot afford to pay any tax, then the top 5% would need to pay it all. Of course, you are not in that extreme position. But if incomes in the US continue to become more and more skewed, you may wind up there…

Thanks for asking:
https://bongino.com/trump-boom-u-s-adds-225k-jobs-in-january-far-surpassing-wall-st-estimates/
The U.S. added 225,000 jobs in the month of January 2020, far surpassing estimates from Wall Street, according to new numbers from the U.S. Labor Department.
The employment-to-population ratio in the household rose to its highest level since November of 2008, to 61.2 percent.

Average hourly earnings also .2 percent month over month and rose 3.1 percent since last year to $28.44. “That marked 18 consecutive months of wage gains above 3%,” writes CNBC
The unemployment rate for African-Americans, Hispanic Americans and Asian-Americans has reached the lowest levels in history. African-American poverty has declined to the lowest rate ever recorded.

The unemployment rate for women reached the lowest level in almost 70 years. And, last year, women filled 72 percent of all new jobs added.

I provided an article from a year and a half ago, too, just to indicate the sustained success prior to the Governors’ lockdown decisions:

The unemployment rate for women in the U.S. workforce fell to 3.4 percent in April, the lowest rate since September 1953.

The unemployment for women fell below 4 percent in March 2018 for the first time since the dot com boom in 2000. It has remained below 4 percent in 12 out of the last 13 months.
The longest streak of below 4 percent unemployment was 18 months starting in 1952. The record low was 2.7 percent in May 1952.

Hispanic unemployment fell to the lowest level ever in April. Overall unemployment hit the lowest level since December 1969.

study out Bishops’ directions and

EWTN’s National Catholic Register newspaper had an article investigating Biden:
2020 Candidate Joe Biden Identifies as Catholic, But Breaks With Church Teaching| National Catholic Register
It mentions:
Archbishop Charles Chaput and Bishop James Conley responded to Biden’s comments on abortion in 2008, writing that “abortion is a foundational issue” and “is always grievously wrong.” T
And on Election Day 2008, Bishop John Ricard of Pensacola-Tallahassee, Florida, wrote a letter to Biden after it was disclosed that the vice-presidential candidate had received Communion the previous Sunday at a Mass he attended at a church in Bishop Ricard’s diocese… indicating that someone with Biden’s position on abortion should not present himself for Communion.
—…
In 2016, Bishop Kevin Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Indiana, condemned the University of Notre Dame for honoring Biden with the Laetare Medal due to his support of abortion.

Redefining Marriage
Another major Church teaching that Biden has broken with over the years is the teaching that marriage is a union between one man and one woman ordered toward the good of the spouses and procreation. The Church teaches that homosexuality is “objectively disordered,” and persons with such an inclination are “called to chastity.”
Initially, Biden voted for the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996, …but he presided over a gay wedding in 2016. Archbishop Joseph Kurtz of Louisville, Kentucky, Bishop Richard Malone of Buffalo, New York, and Archbishop Thomas Wenski of Miami wrote a statement generally condemning the action without mentioning Biden by name.
“When a prominent Catholic politician publicly and voluntarily officiates at a ceremony to solemnize the relationship of two people of the same-sex,” they wrote, “confusion arises regarding Catholic teaching on marriage and the corresponding moral obligations of Catholics. What we see is a counter witness, instead of a faithful one founded in the truth.”

also from the article:
Bishops have also criticized Biden over inaccurate claims when he was championing Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate. The rule threatened the religious freedom of Catholic groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor who held with the Church’s teaching against contraception and refused to cover or refer for contraception.
“No religious institution — Catholic or otherwise, including Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital — none has to either refer contraception,” Biden claimed in a 2012 vice-presidential debate, “none has to pay for contraception; none has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact.”
The USCCB flatly denied his claim in a statement, writing, “This is not a fact. The HHS mandate contains a narrow, four-part exemption for certain ‘religious employers.’ That exemption was made final in February and does not extend to ‘Catholic social services, Georgetown hospital, Mercy hospital, any hospital,’ or any other religious charity that offers its services to all, regardless of the faith of those served.”

Weighing Biden’s Record
In his campaign announcement Thursday, Biden argued that “we are in a battle for the soul of this nation.”
Heading into the 2020 election, practicing Catholics might question Biden’s stance in that battle, as they weigh central moral issues such as the defense of innocent unborn life and truths about marriage and family.

you referred to a system?
You are correct, and thanks for getting me to clarify:

The Trump administration has repealed 22 regulations for each new rule issued, cutting regulatory costs by more than $8 billion. In fact, federal regulations are now at their "lowest count since records began being kept in the mid-1970s."

Small business owners are counting their blessings. For years, America’s most dedicated job creators — who account for two-thirds of all new U.S. jobs — have been drowning in red tape. According to a National Small Business Association (NSBA) survey, one-third of small business owners spend more than 80 hours a year meeting regulatory requirements. In their first year of operation, small business employers pay an average of $83,000 in regulatory costs just to remain compliant.

In the NSBA’s words: “The impact of regulatory burden cannot be overstated. More than one-third have held off on business investment due to uncertainty on a pending regulation, and more than half have held off on hiring a new employee due to regulatory burdens.”

Imagine if that $83,000 was going back into the U.S. economy. This is unacceptable. The more time and money job creators spend on regulatory compliance, the fewer resources they have to expand their business and increase hiring.

The Great Society programs are failures. They failed all … the poor of every color …but they failed the African American community the hardest.

It’s very sad, these policies that create dependency on government are detrimental to all.

to deny that character matters at all is just mind-boggling to me.
Character is not determined by good manners. Some of the worst people on the planet have impeccable manners. When one looks at what Trump actually does in the public realm, where, one asks, is the “lack of character”? Saving the Little Sisters of the Poor from financial ruin? Does that show lack of character? Achieving the lowest black and Hispanic unemployment rates ever? Does that demonstrate a lack of character? Destroying the murderous ISIS. Does that show a lack of character? Starting no wars? Achieving peace among Israel and three Muslim nations?

Where is this “lack of character”?
I have no friends who lack character.
Of course you do. Mankind is fallen. As such, we lack character at times and in many ways. Good manners do not equal good character.
BTW, voting to allow medical procedures to continue isn’t the same thing as committing murder.
Of course it is when the exact purpose of the procedure is to kill a living person who would have otherwise lived.
I have seen zero growth from him over the last four years.
No. He only was the first and only president to speak at the March for Life. He undid Obama’s oppression of Catholic charities. He reinstated the Mexico City Policy. He appointed two prolife justices.

What “growth” exactly, did you expect of him? To refrain from criticizing enemies who would deprive him of his office? To learn to use the right fork for the salad?

It’s worse than that. The mandate also required Catholic charities, including the Little Sisters, to be complicit in providing abortifacient drugs to their workers and THEMSELVES.

And Biden was so proud of himself, and declares he will reinstate that mandate. No Catholic should even consider voting for that man.

  • protecting the Electoral College, so that Middle America still matters in Presidential Elections
Setting aside the quesiton of how much the Electoral College actually accomplishes that, it matters not one whit what the President thinks of the Electoral College. There are two ways to get rid of it:
  1. Pass a Constitutional Amendment changing the way presidential elections work.
  2. Have enough states choose their electors based on the national popular vote that the winner of the popular vote inherently wins the Electoral College.
Constitutional Amendments are passed by the legislatures (federal and state), and the method of choosing electors is decided by individual state governments. In neither process does the President have any actual power. The position of the President on the topic therefore does not matter in the slightest.

About like voting to keep guns or cars legal for ownership. They too can kill people if the people controlling them choose to. Voting to allow something to remain legal doesn’t mean you are encouraging people to do harm, you are simply letting them make the choice.

Many people own guns and cars and never harm or kill anyone with them. Many women choose not to get an abortion even though they could.

The more time and money job creators spend on regulatory compliance, the fewer resources they have to expand their business and increase hiring.
That could well be true. So the Trump economic system is “low regulations”?

Personally, I don’t think it follows that lower and lower levels of regulation must be better. Regulation is not by nature bad. Regulation is about balancing interests. It has to be approached case by case. Eg. I do want governments to say I can’t buy, and you can’t sell, cars that don’t achieve some level of petrol consumption and some level of (low) pollution. Unchecked, I believe the market would get the “wrong answer” on these scores for too long.
