Why do people on CAF seem to think liberals are evil?

I don’t hear the OP expressing that she can’t handle differing opinions. It bothers her when those opinions suggest that s/he’s a Bad Catholic for having liberal views. S/he may have heard it on or off CAF, but I believe that this person’s experiences are valid.

I finally just took this issue to my priest in the confessional. He reassured me that there’s no one party of Good Catholics. They’re both quite hostile to the Catholic faith. Voting as a Catholic requires a lot of struggle and prayer.

We’ve reached a sad state at which I find myself estimating which candidate will be responsible for the lowest body count (tallying abortion, war, mindless drone strikes, poverty, etc.), and checking off the box. Lord have mercy on our country . . .
 
I hear you on that. Some of the terrible stuff going on in Aus makes me worry, and we don’t have the kind of population and military the US has. I can only imagine it must be more stressful with so many more people.
 
By all means stop inviting us along to your wars 😊 we shall happily stay home on our isolated continent.

So, I’m an unashamed lefty. But even I think mocking a countries military is a crummy thing to do. I don’t want us involved in wars; but I don’t mock the people risking their lives.

And as a side note: Australia had black fellas. But those guys are Somali. Racist much?
 
Talking about politics or whatever this is usually doesn’t end good.

All kidding aside, Australians have fought valiantly alongside the US in several wars. Just funnin’ about!

But the best bit? We don’t get attacked. How many countries do you see chanting “death to Australia”? :roll_eyes:
