Fairy tales? You think father Amorths book is a fairy tale? I think you are on the wrong thread…

The dad here, just joined the forum! The baby was definitely looking at the wall and there was nothing there. If we stood in the way, he would try to push up or to the side to see the same spot or turn the head there if he was facing the other way. The reason why I connected my dream with demonic attack to his laugh was because i recognized the lady in the dream the next morning in a picture and have never seen her before in my life. Also, while she was trying to get to my wife and son in the dream, I hit her right hand as she was defending her self, before I was able to get rid of her. The same morning we woke up and the post on her social media was her with a bandage wrapped around the same hand. Continuing on how this dream is connected to baby laughing, in my opinion, is that his guardian angel knew what was going to happen and was there to protect him and keep him distracted while I was fighting the demons. This is not the first time I had spiritual battles in my dreams. On two occasions, I was blessed with the presence of Jesus as well. Baby’s laughing could be totally spontaneous, but with everyhing else lining up, my feeling leans toward supernatural.

I am not here to persuade you to believe me, I am just sharing my experience.

I just thought it was funny. 😁 It’s just what you don’t want to hear, right? Now, I didn’t confirm it was an angel, I just think it’s entirely within the realm of possibility. I wouldn’t poo-poo it.

If someone has doubts about the spiritual side of our faith, they talk with a priest…simple 🙂 Asking here then dismissing everything that is talked about is odd.I dont see the point of asking a question and then disregarding answers 🤔
God bless 🙂

I have no idea if you had a supernatural experience or not, but I don’t laugh off the possibility of such things. When my now 6 year old was about 18 months old I had a “strange” thing happen with her. I was standing in the kitchen and she was maybe 8 feet away from me. Suddenly she ran at me, looking terrified, and hid behind my legs. Then she peeked around me to where she had run from, and then she suddenly smiled and said “hi” and started waving, the way babies do when someone waves at them. It was downright creepy, and there was nothing at all where she was waving. It left me u settled for a few days, to be sure lol…

It’s possible that your baby was literally staring at the area where the wall and ceiling meet, glancing at the wall, and realizing - “whoa, that looks different when I shift my eyes”. Kids do that sort of thing as their vision develops and as they’re learning how to focus.
I used to do that. The color perception in my right eye is a little different than in my left eye. It’s subtle, but in the right light, the wall in my parents bedroom appeared light green in one eye, and light orange in the other.

I understand that you are concerned, and it is intriguing, but at the same time I’d be cautious about making too many connections between things.

It was neither. It could be anything from noticing a shadow to a fly on the wall or that they just recently noticed they enjoy laughing. My toddler has excellent vision and is amused by the leaves moving in the trees. No she does not see an apparition. Babies are constantly developing and experience new mental leaps.

If you’re baby is drooling and cranky, will you assume it’s a demonic attack instead of teething? Making these kind of assumptions is not a healthy approach.

Are you Catholic?
It’s debatable. I only attend “novus ordo” Masses and the church doesn’t have an ad orientem. altar. On the other hand, it has a communion rail. On the other hand, the communion rail isn’t used.

Dust trapped between lenses or under lenses will not reflect the camera’s light back to the camera. It would not show up on film as an orb. It would look like a smudge or blurry spot. I’m telling you, that thing on video is a spirit orb. It even got excited when the baby cried. Did you see it? It zoomed up in the air, got very bright and then zig-zagged down to the baby. And this was after it slowly touched the baby’s head over and over. It was interacting with it. Look at the video, I’m dead serious.
Someone else replied better.

PTZ cameras (the kind most often found in baby monitors) have multiple “lenses” --pieces of glass or plastic the focus goes through. Yes dust, can and does get trapped between. You can get PTZ with IR for $40 on Ebay. I suggest you actually play with one and understand how they work.

The “orb” was something in the air and behaved like something in the air. There were likely ones below the baby, too, but they were washed out by the light.

I have horrible issues with “orbs” and my outdoor cameras. They appear all the time. Sometimes around animals who are kicking up dust and breathing.

All orbs mean is that you have cheap IR cameras.

My question to everyone was if you guys thought it was an angel or demon. Not if it was normal baby development.

All of that just for seeing a guardian angel though? Do you guys even read the thread or question?

I should’ve read this before posting 🤦‍♀️

Babies have private thoughts, but they do not edit their facial expressions as adults do because they aren’t aware of having to consider what others will think of them. They do not yet understand that they have any thoughts that those around them do not have. (This is why very young children can dissemble by sort of a self-denial but cannot deceive in the sense believing one thing and telling you something else in the hopes that you won’t know what they’re thinking.)

Just as you or your husband while, say, alone on a porch with a cup of coffee could stare off into space and laugh out loud to yourself at an enjoyable memory or thought or dreams because you thought you were 100% alone and you aren’t aware of anyone watching you, just so a baby can do the same thing. If you think about it, if you saw an adult doing that, you’d wonder what they were looking at, wouldn’t you? When adults think they are alone in a house, they talk to themselves and their dead relatives and pray out loud and all sorts of things, right? Well, babies do that whether anyone is around or not. The whole world is their private world.

In other words, the short answer is that you don’t get to know everything your child is thinking at all times. Get used to it. I’d suggest you pray for your child’s welfare just the same whether there seem to be any problems or not, provided the child doesn’t start acting in a way that suggests you need professional help. I would certainly not worry at all that my child was spontaneously laughing. That just speaks to being in a good mood and being relaxed and happy but not particularly sleepy.

Because from what I’m understanding, you think it’s impossible for babies to see angels because you think they don’t exist

Because despite what I say, you, along with most on this thread, are adamant that it’s not an angel that my baby saw. Which screams “little faith”

If so, tell me what would make you think a baby saw one
Is it possible the baby saw an angel? Sure. By Occam’s Razor, I would not rush to that conclusion, but of course it is possible.

Here is the issue: the child is too young to know that his mother doesn’t see exactly what he or she sees. As I said: there is no way to know what is going through that child’s mind or why, except that he or she is in a good mood. I would not rush to be concerned that anything is amiss. If a child is seeing angels that the parents aren’t privileged to see, well, that is the way it goes. If it happens when the child is older and realizes that Mom doesn’t see everything that Baby sees, the child will let her know to look at something Mom might be missing, but for right now that’s not likely to happen. That is why I suggesting praying for our children just the same regardless of what we think is going on in their heads. We can’t know that.
