I want to watch Pres Clinton speak tonight to see if he will “toe the line” with regard to the Obama campaign. There is no love lost between Clinton and Obama no matter what anyone says.

I also find it laughable when the Obama campaign tries to recruit Pres Clinton to help Obama in the campaign. Pres Clinton for all of his faults did an awesome job with the economy compared to the sitting President and any attempt to have Obama compared to Clinton in regard to the Economy is ridiculous.

You don’t need to preach to me what Christians see. I’m one of the many Christians.

Abyssinia, the further injury you speak of here from the Exodus 21 verses was if the mother lost her life. If that occurred the penalty was life for life as you have rightly stated. And as you showed then the penalty if the mother lost her life was more severe than if the fetus lost its life.

22If men quarrel, and one strike a woman with child, and she miscarry indeed, but live herself: he shall be answerable for so much damage as the woman’s husband shall require, and as arbiters shall award.

23But if her death ensue thereupon, he shall render life for life. (Douay Rheims)
Exodus 21:22 describes maybe the first fetal homocide law

If a pregnant woman is struck and baby is born and gives birth

If a pregnant woman gives birth after being struck and this results in stillbirth or miscarriage it says, ‘but if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life’ Exodus 21:23

Unborn child’s life was as valued and as equal that of soembody who was born

If child is born with defects due to an injury the person who injured must pay a penalty, ‘eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot’ Exodus 21:24. If unborn child is born and lives assailant is fined

Bill Clinton on Obama

‘I mean, when’s the last time we elected a president based on one year of service in the Senate before he started running?’

On Obama’s record on Iraq, Jan 7th 2008

‘Give me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen’

The saddest truth is that so many Democrat leaders have dropped God from their hearts. Even if their rabid pro-abortion position and their agreement with the entire radical homosexual agenda are only to placate extremists, how can you sell your soul for power? This doesn’t compute in my mind. :dts: Rob

Maybe it acknowledges that not every American citizen believes in God. We might think they are wrong, but that doesn’t take away their citizenship.

That pesky Constitution does say something about not establishing a religion at the same time it talks about not infringing on the exercise thereof. If every speaker at the RNC and their platform refers to God…isn’t that saying that only believers need apply?
Will denying our Lord make others feel welcomed?

I heard that Clinton refuses to submit his speech to the DNC beforehand, so yeah, it should be very interesting.

And by the way, was Barack H. Obama really wearing shoes a half size too small when he was working for a LAW FIRM (where he met Michelle)? Why don’t I believe that?

i found her speech last night unimpressive because it seemed insincere. she wanted to make an inspirational speech but how much of it was sincere i don’t know.
her desire to be in the White House 4 more years was what i got out of her speech.
just knowing her thoughts on abortion make it hard for me to even listen to what she is saying. as another poster said - may God have mercy on our country!
thanks for your beautiful and thoughtful posts!
What I picked up on in the DNC was how everyone’s speech seemed to be scripted for them. When my daughter asked me what that meant I explained to her about the TelePrompTers and how they are there to help you stay on tract for your speech and she explained:"oh! thats why they arn’t really looking at anyone when they are talking. I have to give it to an eleven-year-old to be able to pick up on that. Anyway, the fact that they were all so seemingly dependent on the TelePrompTers to make sure they said exactly what they needed to say tells me that the speeches are not sincere. They did not come from the heart. No matter how inspirational they sounded. I had to stop watching after a whiIe becaue of this lack of sincerity and so missed Michelle Obama’s speach. I do so agree with Michelle Obama that Truth does matter, but as Jack Nicolson said in a Few Good Men. “The Truth, you want the Truth? You can’t handle the Truth,” because if she could handle the Truth I believe she would have a very different story and President Obama would be a very different President. …
Personally though I do believe they could handle the Truth if they would just open up their hearts and minds to it. I do believe that Both side really do sincerely want to do the right thing, I just believe Gov. Romney and Paul Ryan understand how this needs to be accomplished on a much, much deeper lever.

While the founding fathers, like Adams and Washington were personally Christians, and their biographies are clear on that, they understood the dangers of creating a Theocracy.
After all, they had just escaped from under the rule of a King who claimed power under Divine Right.

They put both sides of the religious freedom clause in the constitution. Free exercise and do not establish. Both sides need to exist to keep the country free for everyone. Around here, it seems that people are looking for the country to be free for them to practice their faith and have that encouraged and supported, but aren’t really ready to allow that same freedom for those who do not believe EXACTLY as they do.
Man, Seeker, is there a Christian alive in America who seeks to create a theocracy here? Stop with the talking points. They are transparent rubbish. Have you not noticed that the left hates Christians SO much that they try to dismantle every Christian symbol in sight. It is sick, and they get away with it only b/c millions of Christians don’t even notice it, let alone stand against it! 😊 Rob

S.C. Dem. Chair Compares GOP Gov. to Hitler’s Mistress

South Carolina Democratic chairman Dick Harpootlian compared his state’s Republican female governor, Nikki Haley, to Hitler’s mistress, Eva Braun this morning at a breakfast in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Oh, man, sinking to new lows. I wonder how the Jewish Democrat voters view that quip. Or the Goebbels statement made about Ryan.

Don’t let what you hear on Limbaugh’s show get in the way of a good story. (That’s a joke.)

The tragic extinction of the pro-life Democrats

For pro-life Democrats there has always been tension between their opposition to abortion and their support of liberal social justice programs. They have sought to square the circle by constructing a “whole life” rationale in which they claim it is society’s job to protect not just the unborn, but the poor and the vulnerable at every stage of life. As such, they’ve weaved the morality of opposing abortion into support for a whole tapestry of liberal causes: everything from Head Start to welfare to immigration reform. It takes some doing, but nearly every liberal cause can be pulled into the whole-life cause. Various panelists yesterday morning, for instance, noted that support of campaign finance reform, opposition to the Iraq war, and “environmental justice” (whatever that is) are all essentially pro-life issues.

By not limiting themselves to the narrow topic of abortion, pro-life Democrats were able to make an uneasy peace with their party. The Democratic mainstream might not give any ground on abortion rights, but pro-life Dems could rationalize their existence by pointing to the good that liberal social welfare policies were doing for all of the souls lucky enough not to get aborted. What made this arrangement possible was the fact that there was a reasonably stable status quo on abortion—there was no immediate mechanism for overturning Roe, but neither was the government actively expanding abortion rights.

And then came Obamacare.

you probably would not have been able to watch michelle’s entire speech. i couldn’t.
michelle wanted you to believe that she and barack were the most wonderful and common everyday people. what i took from the speech is that the agenda was - if i say the right things and they believe what i am saying, my family and i can enjoy 4 more years in the White House pretending we really care about the middle class and the future and well being of this country.

Facepalm: Reason TV finds out how pro-choice Democrats really are

Oh, but she did lie. Neither she nor Barack were poor. He attended a very tony Hawaiian private school, she went to private school as well. She tried to make his grandmother out to be just an ordinary teller or something, overlooked because men were promoted over her, yeah, down for the struggle.

I think she should have stressed her husband’s true background, he sounds a lot worse that way. Born to a young girl, deserted by his bio-dad, mom divorced and remarried, moved to Indonesia, adopted, became a Muslim, Mom left step-dad and send Barry back to Hawaii to his grandparents, never sees his mother again, sees his father just once in his whole life, has an identity crisis when half-sister tells him his father is a violent drunkard, goes to Kenya to find the dreams of his father and succeeds, comes back to America and aligns himself with terrorists, communists, and America-haters.

Makes a better story than Barry driving a rusted-out beater, wearing shoes too small (maybe they also had cardboard to cover the holes?), and picking furniture out of dumpsters. Did Barry take Michelle to the auto-mat for a 5 c piece of pie for their first date? LOL

:clapping: i was laughing while i was listening to her tell the story of obama’s rusted out car, shoes that were too small and the coffee table picked from the dumpster. does she think we are stupid?? he had enough money to go to columbia, but after that he was poor? and they were both lawyers?
