I do have respect, please don’t get me wrong. I just don’t feel comfortable pointing fingers about something that I, personally, have little information about. I don’t see why this stance is getting me so much flak.
Why don’t you read the thread and then make your remarks.

What we are talking about here is the lies put out by the Administration.

Actually that’s something Ive been saying for my last few posts. I haven’t kept up on the news as much as I should. My usual policy when something big like this breaks out is to check with as many news sources as I can, preferably news sources on both sides of the political spectrum.
Fox News was the only one that reported on it with in-depth critical analysis before election day. 🙂

Really, this is a news forum after all.

I won’t go to a Dallas Cowboys forum, they discuss a game the Cowboys won or loss and say, I’ll give my verdict after I read some news stories on it.

In the Benghazi hearing today it was said that on the 12th of September 2012, the State Department emailed Libyan Ambassador that they knew Islamic group had done the attack in Benghazi.

Consider that Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Barack Obama went out after September 12th and blamed the anti Muslim video.

I believe the Libyan President said the same thing BEFORE Rice claimed something different on the Sunday news shows. What would he know right 🤷

They’re blaming this on Republican sequestering. Wouldn’t y’know it…! Don’t believe it.

Yeah Rep Cummings claimed it was all because those nasty mean Republicans voted to decrease the budget for security. That was previously debunked by the State dept testimony but who cares about the truth when you can blame someone else?

Libya Security Lapse: The Budget for Embassy Security Is Not Responsible
Comparing FY 2011 actual funding versus the FY 2012 estimate, there appears to be a reduction in Worldwide Security Protection and Embassy Security, Construction and Maintenance. But that reduction does not account for additional funding in FY 2012 from Overseas Contingency Operations funds amounting to $236 million for Worldwide Security Protection (p. 63) and $33 million for Embassy Security, Construction and Maintenance (p. 467)… Together, there is a net increase.
In terms of people, the budget justification reported that Worldwide Security Protection had slightly fewer positions budgeted (1,777 in FY 2011 versus 1,707 in FY 2012) and Embassy Security, Construction and Maintenance had the same number of positions budgeted (1,014 for both years).
In its budget request for FY 2013, the Administration requested significantly more funding for embassy security—mostly through the Overseas Contingency Operations budget—but retained the same number of positions, apparently on the assumption that security staffing was adequate. Regardless, that budget, even if approved in its entirety, would have entered into effect after the events in Libya.

Also this begs the difference between cutting a budget in Paris or Oslo vs an active and violent area such as Benghazi. Even if the budget HAD been cut, the allocation of funds would have focused on those locations where upgraded security is necessary. Clearly as the situation changes, the resources and personnel deployed also change.

We are not morons. Why do they think these ridiculous stories will be accepted?

Well…so far this has been precisely what I thought it would be…a rehash of previous discussions with a few new faces whose testimony has already been refuted. The fact that several of you are trying to debunk the budgetary issues actually shows that the GOP is now on the defensive.
We’ll have to see if anything of substance comes out, but I’m not holding my breath since Fox is covering the Jodi Arias case.

What is being “refuted”? What is being exposed is how involved people like Clinton were in developing the coverup. Even this administration has quit trying to blame a Utube video.

We are not trying to “debunk” the budget issue. It was debunked by Charlene Lamb of the State Department.

As to Jodi Arias, I am in total agreement. This is NOT news. I am sorry one second has been allocated to this stupid and evil woman

The idea of a rescue mission was also debunked by military officials in earlier hearings, but that hasn’t stopped that old idea from being recycled.

Links?? Be nice if you based your statements in facts.

Very kind, God Bless You.

That’s really on topic.

Oh, if only we had one news agency, we would all be happy.

Clearly certain representatives cater to morons.
The whole system caters to low information voters who’ll enable a party system providing political office as a career and source of power.

A party system where most voters think of their party like a sports team vice their paid employees. Doesn’t matter what the politician says/believes/votes/does as long as he has their sport team’s donkey/elephant logo.
