Sorry you are still not getting it. Can you say that right at this moment you dot have sins you are probally going to die with. What if you don’t even know some of your sins. Did you ever hear about the spliter in your own eye. We all have sins. Do you not see that he did see his sin, and he was repenting. Read what you sent to me or someone did in the CCC. It says it there. You are right. It is not a good Confession, if we don’t mean to change our ways.
To “repent” is to change direction - to stop doing the bad action, and replace it with its opposite good.
YES, now you are getting it! We could all end up in Hell, just like him, if we don’t repent of our ways and start helping those who are less fortunate than us.
He was worse because he never repented - he never recognized his sins and repented of them.
Nobody ever does, really. Ricardo Montalban, speaking about the villain Khan, once said that Khan did not see himself as a villian - he saw himself as a good man who was forced to do villianous things. But he did not understand that, in doing villainous things, he was turning himself into a villain - he became a villian by doing villianous things. He started out as a loving husband and father, but when he set out to get revenge for the deaths of his wife and children, he became a villian. Ultimately, he was destroyed by his own evil.
The sad thing is that he had the opportunity to become a Saint - a good guy - simply by responding differently, and more generously, to the situation in which he found himself.
All of us are in that situation. We are all faced with choices, in which one way leads to Hell, and the other way leads to Heaven. It is our little everyday choices that lead us to our final destiny.
And to me to go to confession and repent and confess you sin is not enough. You must stay in repentance for the rest of your life. IT is a constant thing. To me when we repent we are sorry for our sin, and we ask for forgiveness. And we try to sin no more. That is why we must stay in total repentance. ITs a constant thing. Very few people can stay out of constant repentance. Its hard, its not ask for forgivenss be sorry and you are forgiven. that is not repentance. How can you sin no more. That takes time that is what I call repentance. Its a constant act. That is the way I see it. It takes alot of time. Sin just dont end that easy.
Again can you say that you cannot see any of yourself in the rich man. Ever. in your life. And again what is the name for hell in the OT? Does anyone know? Did you know that if you have mortal sin, but you are not aware of it, that you can be forgiven for it. without confessing it. You can only be held for a mortal sin if you are aware of it. Now if you learn and then you do not confess you are in big trouble.
