Modesty for Men

Don’t let your pants sag down past your underwear too! I saw a guy the other day wearing his pants down past his underwear. For starters I thought men quit doing that; and then I thought why bother with pants? Just wear your underwear around town!

Women can dress very sexy but when men try to dress ‘sexy’ with tight pants or tanktops or whatever it just looks wrong and creepy imo. I think its more important for us not to become to worldly and try to impress others with expensive clothes with labels. If i need a shirt for example, do i really need one with a lacoste croc on it to show my wealth (or rather try to look wealthy) or can i choose one without the label for half the price

I’d venture to say what is appropriate inside a Vatican Church should be appropriate for most any other worship setting or occasion.
Sometimes I wonder why we still get so many modesty threads here at CAF. I see this sign at the entrance to St. Peter’s as a clear instance of “Roma locuta est.”

Come on people.
Do you not know that the tuxedo is “evening dress”? For an evening formal occasion? As I tell my 4th degree K of C hubby all the time. Well, won’t have that tuxedo-wearing-husband-in-the-daytime for long, once they impose the new regulations. (Sorry - - don’t want to derail!)

It would be hilarious if all parish churches around the world had these Vatican dress code signs outside! I wish!

Yes - - I think we call forgot about the saggy pants looks, which I am personally tired of seeing after 20+ years of that “trend”.

Yes - - I think we call forgot about the saggy pants looks,
The saggy pants look is more of a cultural thing for men of different ethnic groups.

I wouldn’t wear it, but I’d only really criticize it on the basis of “appropriation” if its being worn by someone outside of the ethnic group.

Yeah, shorts combined with manspreading is not something i want to see.

“cultural thing”? From 20-25 years ago? Okay, if you say so…

Since I frequently wear suits, I would say suits are pretty modest and protect the skin. This also depends on the occasion. If you have a blue collared job, it would be out of place, but anyone else can wear a suit. It is not a wedding/funeral/job interview exclusive. To get started, I recommend the youtube channel Real Men Real Style https://www.youtube.com/user/RealMenRealStyle Antonio goes over the basics of how to wear a suit, cologne, etc. For those who want to take it up a notch, I would recommend the Gentleman’s Gazette https://www.youtube.com/user/thegentlemansgazette which goes over stuff like vests/waistcoats, bow ties, dress codes, dress shoes, etc.

Except for an evening formal wedding, followed by a reception, I would agree.

Depends on the shorts and the choice of the underoos beneath.

A more preppy, closer-fitting khaki/casual short, should have no problem with that

Along with Mountain Dew, Doritos, anime, and a waifu body pillow

Which, if I get married, will be my want- 630 wedding, incense, the whole 9 yards, followed by dinner.
