Muslim fury grows at Pope's speech

It becomes a test to our Christian values to see the Muslim reaction here.

I actually had to stop myself from wishing for a brief second that we start a Crusade and be done with this problem.

Then I asked God to forgive me for that thought. I know I will think all kinds of stuff if I look at the news, so I am avoiding the near occasion of sin.

Just about the entire world knows that that Pope Benedict XVI gave a speech on Tuesday condemning religious conversion by violence. The Muslim “street” did not respond until Friday, when the leaders of the Muslim religion called for their faithful to surge into the streets in an orgy of rage and violence. Not content only to burn Christian churches (neither of which follow the Catholic pope), they turned on themselves

Neither the pope nor the Muslim clerics are the only actors here. Tens of thousands of Muslims chose to act in violence or condone violence yesterday. Millions more supported them in this, the evidence being that Muslim politicians jumped on the bandwagon. These millions of Muslims are hardly candles in the wind, helplessly manipulated by the imams. They chose their religion. They chose their mosque. They chose not to “listen carefully” to the words of the pope. They chose to take to the streets in rage, and they chose to burn and attack and kill perfectly innocent people, all on the say-so of one or another demagogue in a turbin.

“Peaceful” is a condition, not a moral value. We should not mistake reluctance to openly express hate and bigotry with rejection of those feelings. Read the Koran…Islam relies upon fear and intimidation to motivate “faith”.

As belligerant Islamic nations like Iran become able to obtain nuclear weapons, it’s time the West take off the PC blinders and recognize Islam’s tenets for what they say and are. Benedict is the first Western leader with the courage to challange muslims to put up or shut up about their “religion of peace”.
[SIGN]I second these excellent remarks![/SIGN]

Hmmphff! One may have heard during one’s lifetime that old saying, “Save your Confederate money, boys, the South will rise again”. Today’s adage might be, “Save that white surcoat with the big red cross, you’re going to need it!”

now this begs the question… if so many people see these muslims and arabs as backwards animals, i must then ask why on earth must our government get ourselves involved in this messy part of the world. after all, only an idiot would shove his hand into a hornets nest then ask why they stung him

Islamofascists are already calling for the beheading of the Pope:

“Swine and servant of the cross, worships a monkey on a cross, hateful evil man, stoned Satan, may Allah curse him, blood-sucking vampire.”

Immediate source: michellemalkin.com/ - which contains further links to reactions to the whole business. Angela Merkel has spoken in the Pope’s defence 🙂

“But that’s just a web-log”, someone may say - so what ? The source is not important - what matters, is whether what it says is true. ##

Because the goal of a number of these people is a world-wide caliphate and they are intent on obliterating Christianity and everything else that does not submit is Islamic Law. But we are off topic.

and even if this were true do you see it as even being remotely feasible? you have a bunch of poor 3rd world islamic countries surrounded by giant nuclear armed, tech savy and islamic-suspicious europe, russia, india and china. A bunch of guys with AA shoulder mounted rockets, AK’s and C4 strapped to their bodies don’t have a chance against Israel alone, much less the rest of the world

Some may want to ignore it, but we are entrenched in a holy war. I applaud the Pope for having the courage to speak the truth. It would be well for church and civil leaders throughout the world to speak up and expose Satan who is trying to impersonate God in the form of Allah.

With all do respect, you are thinking like a Westerner. This is not a battle of great armies. This is a battle of where the forces are legal and physical intimidation, procreation and immigration. Europe and parts of Africa will be the next battlefield, once the caliphate is restored in the Middle-East. Shaping the battlefield of Europe is already being done by radical Muslims. Look at the achievements so far as the billions of petro dollars are poured into the “evangelizing” of Wahhabism and Shiaism. Now they are going to the next step and demanding nuclear arms as they take over the legislative houses in Europe. As for the middle east: In his letter to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Zawahiri outlined al-Qaeda’s plan for waging jihad in the heart of the Middle East:The first stage: Expel the Americans from Iraq. The second stage: Establish an Islamic authority or amirate, then develop it and support it until it achieves the level of a caliphate- over as much territory as you can to spread its power in Iraq, i.e., in Sunni areas, is in order to fill the void stemming from the departure of the Americans, immediately upon their exit and before un-Islamic forces attempt to fill this void, whether those whom the Americans will leave behind them, or those among the un-Islamic forces who will try to jump at taking power. The third stage: Extend the jihad wave to the secular countries neighboring Iraq. The fourth stage: It may coincide with what came before: the clash with Israel, because Israel was established only to challenge any new Islamic entity.

The Holy Father has shown himself to be a strong and rightous man. Pray for him. The Muslims have shown themselves to be weak and hypocritical. Pray for an end to their terrorism and anger.

Ayman al-Zawahiri and his followers has been trying for over 20 years to bring about an islamic fundamentalist regime change in the region, yet they have failed miserably. With christians vs zorastorians vs sunnis vs shiites vs wahhabists vs kurds vs persians vs palestinians vs PLO vs hamas… sorry people, but this part of the world will never unite under any banner. The middle east has for every year since the dawn of civilization been nothing but a sandbox of tribal wars. This is how things have been and will be for probably well beyond our lifetime. Gamal Abdel Nasser’s dream of a united, secular and prosperous arab world was dashed to pieces with his death, and it may very well have been nothing but a dream even had he continued to live.

We are off topic. I will start another thread.

The pope didn’t accidentally say what he did. He did it for a reason. You don’t pull an obscure quote like that up by mistake. He also knew how people would react. I personally don’t think he’s that stupid. He is doing the right thing by saying he is sorry for how people are reacting, while not retracting his words.

[SIGN]I wholeheartedly agree![/SIGN]

I meant to say;

John Paul II The Great, “would have” used more wisdom than Pope Benedict.
Good heavens, man! Have you no humility? You not only pronounce judgment on this pope, but have the temierity to speak for another now dead?
