Sorry, but you are indeed extreme in your views of Democrat politicians and leftists. Your enumeration of what you consider to be the evils of the Democrats shows just how extremist your views are. You are far from the only one who thinks this way. And this kind of thinking is not confined to the far right for it is characteristic of the far left as well. You sum up Democrats, or Democrat leaders, as if they are all mindless sheep who have no free will as human beings, and you neatly display all the right-wing GOP talking points about Democrats without doing what you pride yourself on, that is, thinking rationally. You have drunk the far-right Kool-Aid rather than the far-left Kool-Aid in your attempt to pigeon-hole all Democrat leaders as subversive of the American way of life, exactly what many of the far left do with regard to all Republican leaders. Extremism is extremism. I only hope you are still young so that you can live a long life and learn to think in a more nuanced way.
Nope, none of my views are extreme. You just have no good arguments and are attacking me ad hominem for that. In fact, I’d say you’re probably the true extremist here, as you openly admit to watching MSNBC, a known far leftist media outlet. You’re sounding off the typical leftists talking points, accusing anyone who doesn’t agree with you of being an “extremist”, which is quite typical of Democrats really since, once again, you have no real arguments, so you just personally attack your opponents, just like you did to justice Brett Kavanaugh. You smear. You lie. You slander. That is the Democrat strategy nowadays, unfortunately. Your party is doing the same to nominee Amy Coney Barret, accusing her of being a “religious extremist” and being a “cult” despite the fact that her views are pretty typical of a Conservative Catholic who also happens to be Charismatic, and even though I don’t agree with Charismatic Christianity on a theological level, it is in no way a “cult.” The fact that one of your leftist pundits falsely said that the community she was apart of inspired the Handmaid’s Tale is absolutely despicable and downright evil.

I didn’t say anything about RBG. Although she did support the murder of babies.

he’s had brain surgery twice, both quite serious.
So have I… I still have brain tumours, five at last count, and I can still think and speak and reason. Brain surgery doesn’t necessarily mean anything unless you are acquainted with a person’s medical record and there is documentation of decline. Biden’s quirks are most often attributable to his compensatory behaviour to manage his stuttering.

Lenore, I have great respect for folks who have endured what you (and he) have. I thus say the following with utmost respect:

You are not trying to become the president of the US - the most high-stress job in the entire world, bar none. You are not dealing with nations that hate the US; nations that want to advance their own ambitions at the expense of the US; a hateful media; riots; congress; supreme court appointments; the military; an opposing political party that will oppose literally everything you want to accomplish; some segment of the population that would do you violence; whatever - to say nothing of COVID.

If presidents’ physical health weren’t an issue, they wouldn’t make it a point of releasing their medical records annually.

I’m glad you feel you can think and reason. If your posts are any indication, you’re sharper than most folks of 45. However, I know, and have known, many 77+ year olds - and none of them are as sharp at 77 as they were at, say, 55 - and they haven’t had major brain surgeries. I’m sorry, it is entirely fair to doubt Joe Biden’s mental acuity in light of the stresses of the presidency - which I respectfully think none of us on this board could handle, myself included.

Not playing today or any day would be my advice,it gets tedious, trust me🙄
Asking to supply a quote to back up what appears to be an erroneous statement is not meant to be tedious, it is meant to get to the truth. Both of you made statements that seemed false in this thread and failed to provide actual evidence when I asked.
But you are not interested in the truth. Even if I provided evidence galore you would still say it didn’t prove anything and around we would go on the merry go round.

Look at you spreading innuendo like it’s gospel truth. For one thing President Trump has NOT been easy on Putin! That is false!

you’re sharper than most folks of 45.
How dare you. I’m only 44. 😂 JK

I actually think there should be age limits–we have the 35+ down, but it would be a decent idea to cap the age. What age? I’ve no idea, but it does bother me that mostly men over 75 seem to be the majority making decisions for all. I have great respect for my elders and visiting with the ‘old ladies’ (as my kids affectionately call them) is one of the things we miss about regular mass 😔. I just think we should have a better representation…some new blood.

I agree. But as a psychologist, and I’m extremely hesitant to say this, but Trump’s mental acuity has worried me (and colleagues) since 2016. He is not my patient, so I won’t elaborate, but many of the nation’s top psychologists and psychiatrists submitted letters to the effect of his unfitness for office. I know you disagree. Let’s leave it there–I wish you no ill will and am always appreciative of a variety of opinions. I strongly dislike when people attach mortal sin to voting decisions, because we all have the same goals, we just disagree how to get there.
which I respectfully think none of us on this board could handle, myself included.
Actually, I think there are many posters with the intelligence and capabilities to undertake such a task, if called upon. I won’t include myself in that, but if I somehow was given such a job or something similar, one thing I would do is gather the best to advise me–I think this is one of Trump’s greatest weaknesses, his pride. I know my weaknesses enough to understand to be successful in many things I must listen to others’ wisdom. I am quite content to be Mrs Nobody Nevermore…I have NO desire to be in politics or anything public. And, I’m physically too weak because of cancer so I wouldn’t take something like that upon myself. However, I would love for some people like the wise posters here to ascend to leadership, because they seek God wholeheartedly.

Thanks for your kind words, @VonDerTann. We disagree, but I know you have a good heart and live with integrity. That’s what counts in my book.

I sincerely apologize re: your age. I honestly thought you were older. Forgive me. I’m probably making it worse. I’ll just shut up now.

Please know I’m totally kidding! I have found that twenty one passed, thirty passed…no big deal…forty has been interesting as I see my midlife line (God willing…He hasn’t let the cancer take me yet, but man, what a fight it is!). Now I’m ‘mid-forties’ 😱 so really, 44, 45, same difference, right?!

He interrupted Biden as he was talking about his dead son, and as he did that he brought up Hunter, and lied about his discharge.

Sleazy.

Prompted me to curse at my tv. Which I normally don’t do.

In the meantime, Biden posted get well prayers.

If the situation was reversed, you don’t think President Trump would off his best wishes to Biden?🤨

He didn’t offer sympathy as a father was telling of a dead son.

He interrupted him.

“I don’t know Beau,” Trump said without skipping a beat before launching into an attack on Biden’s son who is living, and whom he tried desperately to convince Ukraine to smear last year. “I know Hunter. Hunter got thrown out of the military. He was thrown out, dishonorably discharged…for cocaine use, and he didn’t have a job until you became vice president.”

It’s really telling. No parent should lose a child. It’s one of the most heartbreaking things to go through. Joe Biden did it twice.

Trump could have heard him out and said something kind.

He didn’t.

And he lied about hunter. He wasn’t dishonorably discharged. And he did have jobs.

How petty of a Trump.

Yeah Hunter has had jobs all right dubious connections and high payoffs.Stellar guy that Hunter🙄

And what difference does that make that Trump needed to be cruel to a father who was talking about his dead son?

Seriously?

It was cruel.

My own son almost died 6 years ago. He had to be anointed and we heard phrases like “persistent vegetative state”. He went through hell, and now has a a disability.

Thankfully he’s alive. If I were discussing him and someone took that as an opportunity to bad mouth one of my other kids, I’d have lost it.

So I did lose it when I heard Trump act like a bully.

There really isn’t a reason to defend everything.

You may want to review the debate again.
The president brought up the son multiple times.

Biden then decided to bring his other son into it.

It was a deflection, and it failed.

Everything Trump said about hunter was 100% true.

Hunter was thrown out of the military due to drugs - then made millions off his dads connections to China.

How much have Trump’s children made off of connections to him? Mostly from foreign countries.

If what Hunter did was illegal, Barr could certainly prosecute him. Hasn’t happened.
