Where is the Catholic outrage over recent American immigration policies?

Why don’t we start with the law.

In my town if parents are caught with drugs or leave them in a hot car, CPS separates them.

If an immigrant is caught with drugs, what should we do?

My “thesis” is that Catholics should be outraged
“outrage” is a wasted emotion if it isn’t accompanied by a way to resolve the emotion.

The Fake News Media will resolved their outrage when either (1) President Trump and his family and supporters are all chucked out of office and hopefully imprisoned or ruined, or (2) they find something else which feeds their need for outrage that offers a better chance at accomplishing their goal in #1

Are the majority Mexican?
That’s not my understanding, I thought they were Honduran, Guatemalan or El Salvadorian.

And that’s why they can’t be turned away so quickly at the border, because they aren’t Mexican

yes, they did pass through Mexico. Mexico gave them passage visas to make it to the US border

Do you think any proof should be offered by an assylum seeker?

Do you think we should help those in need? Shelter the homeless? Welcome the stranger?

There are American citizens living here in the US that suffer domestic violence or live in areas like South Central LA which are festering with gang violence. Should other countries be forced to take them, if they decide to flee America?

At this point, I’d be considering military options. The cartels are becoming a tremendous burden to the USA and the exodus of asylum seekers and illegal immigrants is a National Security issue.

Mexico is a failed state and they dump their problems on us. Let’s start by sanctioning Mexican Government Officials along with Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. Furthermore, let’s take this to the UN and have it declared a Humanitarian Crisis.

Within reason! Are you going to take them into your home? Huh?

Instead of fighting in the Middle East we should be destroying the drug cartels and financially punishing those who’re responsible for the mess.

I’d like to see the people of Mexico get together and make Mexico great again, and the people of El Salvador get together and make El Salvador great again. Admitting their finest and best citizens permanently into America is no way to accomplish that

Who knows. I’ve been meaning to get more involved with the local immigrant/refugee community in town.

I don’t see this happening unless their corrupt governments and brutal gangs are ELIMINATED.

Depends on who you mean by “we”. America is a secular state with secular goals. Foreign aid and foreign policy is designed to move the country forward.

Through Catholic Relief Services, and other faith based Catholic and non-catholic outfits, its entirely proper.
