And who is it who interprets the Constitution? Why, it’s the Courts! As an American, you should know that. 🤷
So if the Court rules on Roe V. Wade or that Slaves were 3/5ths human beings, this makes it right? No and Constitutional Scholars say over and over, Roe v. Wade is NOT in the Constitution.

The courts never ruled that slaves were 3/5 human. It was in the constitution and it was compromise The slave States wanted them counted fully, the free States not at all. And it had nothing to do with how human they were -it was all about how seats in the House would be allocated.

Whatever, that’s beside the point.

The courts should not be deciding that all Americans are paying for the murder of the unborn and Epan was saying they should.

Not sure if disallowing prayer in school, Nativity scenes taken out of City Squares, and all of those issues that Courts have ruled on should be accepted as correct.

New Black Panther Party. You might read the news.
According to the initial founders of the Black Panther Party, Huey Newton and Bobby Seale, the so-called New Black Panther Party is an anti-White, anti-Semitic organization that has no relation to the original Black Panther Party except for the fact it has taken their name.

Right or wrong has nothing to do with it. The Court ruling makes those issues legal

Of course not. That was a Court ruling.

You are free to not accept those things as correct.

Epan’s reasoning
The courts can straighten out whether any religious freedom issues have been threatened. So far, the arguments are not convincing.

None the less, the Constitution IS the ultimate authority, the Supreme Court is just one branch of the government. Let’s hope we throw out at least the tyrannical views that are infringing on religious freedoms. Then we will see how the above looks. Romney will respect freedom of religion and we know this.

And there have been a lot of lawsuits and by Protestant organizations as well suing the government. I find their arguments convincing.

In a sense, the Constitution is the final authority in that judges should not “legislate” from the bench (a frequent conservative mantra). However, there is a difference between legislating from the bench and interpreting the Constitution. An analogy in Judaism is the Torah (Written Law), which is the final authority, and the rabbis, who must interpret the Law. In the latter instance, there are often different interpretations, majority views and minority views, and these interpretations are subject to future changes. Still, what is written in the Torah does not change. (The Constitution, however, may be amended.)

Yes it is, and is the branch of government that may interpret the law and the Consitution.

An excellent analogy, the only difference being that there is no final, ultimate rabbinical interpretation of any part of the Law.

So are we talking about how the Black Panthers are out in front of at least one polling station in Philly today?
OMG! The right and their obsession with the Black Panthers! Here we are again!

Breitbart and their obsession with “scary minorities” had pictures up of the Black Panthers just weeks ago. . . . . . . :roll eyes:

Talk about race baiting.

And even before I checked I said that- here we go from our friends at Breitbart as their TOP STORY.

Yeah, what’s the big deal, the same people who showed up at a voting precinct carrying truncheons and dressed in military garb show up again 4 years later. No story here. 👍

Yeah Christine, I mentioned that- but not directly in my post.

Scary minorities are of real interest to some on the right.

And this is while there is more systematic voter suppression going on in FL, but NO that’s just the Left spinning things. . . .
