Polls show an Obama victory as history dictates death knell for Romney

Code:
Mitt Romney had it going for a while, but major polls show his luck has finally run out – and I'm not going to disagree. It now seems that Romney's luck has finally run out. President of the [United States](http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/usa) [Barack Obama](http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/barack-obama) looks destined to claim victory at some point this evening or early tomorrow morning in the 2012 presidential election. Why do I have confidence?
The polling aggregates are crystal clear.
FiveThirtyEight, HuffPollster and Real Clear Politics all have President Obama winning at least 303 electoral votes. The latter two actually have Obama taking 332 electoral votes. Put another way, none of the aggregates really know something the others don’t. There’s no special formula needed to tell us who will win.

Nov. 5: Late Poll Gains for Obama Leave Romney With Longer Odds

By NATE SILVERMitt Romney has always had difficulty drawing a winning Electoral College hand. Even during his best period of polling, in the week or two after the first presidential debate in Denver, he never quite pulled ahead in the polling averages in Ohio and other states that would allow him to secure 270 electoral votes.
But the most recent set of polls suggest another problem for Mr. Romney, whose momentum in the polls stalled out in mid-October. Instead, it is President Obama who is making gains.
:rotfl: I love it…votes don’t matter, only “aggregate polls” do. 😛

The returns aren’t even in yet. Don’t collapse yet, anybody.

Abyssinia, they have voter records from primaries, and they can tell, don’t worry. Especially you can tell in some states where voter id is specified on the early ballot form. That’s where all that early voter data is coming from. Some states even have it posted on their secretary of state websites.

*The Obama campaign, though, dismissed Romney’s Election Day efforts as a “Hail Mary.”
Last time I checked Mary’s intercession was pretty effective. 😉
No doubt, Obama campaign referred to it as a “Hail Mary,” because they know that a lot of alienated Catholics are praying election novenas…

What has me very upset is the number of Catholics that I know who will not be voting at all for one reason or another - mostly because they say that they cannot in good conscience vote for either candidate.

Yeah…it’s at least a vocal minority, though I don’t know the total count. I disagree with their reasoning, even though they can licitly choose to do so. 😦

First battleground State to report in, New Hampshire, is leaning towards Obama. 👍

There is separation of church and state in this country. Let’s keep it that way.

I am hoping and praying that regardless of who wins the election, our religious freedom is protected and the HHS Contraceptive Mandate is overturned.

Interestingly enough, looks like Gary Johnson might prove to be the next Ross Perot. Could be that he will drive a big enough wedge for there to be a clear winner tonight.

Um…okay. What does that have to do with this thread…or the US Presidential Election results? 🤷
I think people are confusing their religious beliefs with politics. The two should be kept separate. We should not try to impose our religious beliefs on others.

Virginia is set to exceed the 2008 turnout which wasn’t forecasted and is very bad news for Romney. If Romney loses Virginia he won’t be able to make it up even if he wins Ohio ( possible but not likely) and Wisconsin (which isn’t really possible)

Looks like Virginia may decide the election.
