There are more non-negotiable issues than those listed in Deal Hudson’s little pamphlet.Aside from the fact that the democrat base supports all of the non-negitables

I’m not answering it because it’s totally unrelated to the OP.What response do you want from me? I read what you had to say. Now I wanted to ask a question. I understand why you think the Democratic party is hostile towards Christians.
All this time I have incorrectly assumed identity politics was when someone clings to a political identity (and subsequently starts using more derogatory terms for the percieved other side.)Easily. Are you white? Male? Straight?
Of course! Don’t we all?Is there something I do not understand?
Some of them do, yes, but this is not the case, especially with regard to social teachings. The thing is that Trump and the Republicans have done more for the Christian cause than has been done in 10 years.People on here seem to act like the conservative party is in perfect observance of Catholic issues or social teachings.
CNN, NBC, and especially PBS are all biased toward democratic party platforms. FOX is biased toward republican platform values.Apparently, CNN is biased but FoxNews is not?
It is an overcompensation.I don’t understand the deifying of Donald Trump here.
He is a horrendous person, but he has done some very good things for Christianity and the Catholic faith.Apparently, he can do no wrong to some people or to other people is a horrendous person.
This is false.Apparently, if a Catholic doesn’t vote Republican, align with the conservative party or is not a huge supporter of Donald Trump, I voted contrary to church teaching.
A good demonstration of the labeling and partisan politics that exist here!Because liberals…
As if “liberals” could be lumped! Then they try to lump - those who aren’t liberals - into one group.
You are trying to apply logic to something that is not. Prejudice and bigotry are not logical.Part of me genuinely wants to understand why some posters describe the liberal party as evil. I don’t understand.
Perhaps you trust what you see, hear and read more than the hype? After reading posts on here, strongly endorsing Donald Trump and I keep wondering why I don’t seem to feel/see him in the same positive like that others.
Most likely not. People tend to listen to news from sources with which they agree. Are we watching the same news sources?
Am I a bad Catholic if I don’t feel that way towards him?
No. Feelings don’t make you a good or bad Catholic. Actions do.Am I a bad Catholic if I don’t feel that way towards him?
Trump is one of the most valueless presidents we have every had. He stated clearly during the campaign that he believed “greed” was a value. Although many presidents/candidates may have been greedy, none of them ever put this forward as a virtue. He will play to whatever faction will give him what he wants. We are fortunate that those with more Christian values have the upper hand at the moment. As is flipflopping constantly on those very points?
He just looks like a creepy demagogue.
The values that form the platform of the party contain evils. But describing a political party as evil? It doesn’t make sense.
You are right, of course. If I feel like people use the bible to manipulate votes. I don’t think any political party honestly aligns with Christ.
This is a falsehood. What distinguishes a true Christian is the teaching of Christ. It has nothing to do with American Political party affiliation.I mean people’s opinions seem to suggest if you aren’t conservative, you aren’t a true Christian/believer.
You will be condemned if you rebel against Jesus and His Church. You will be condemned if you fail to follow your conscience. If people are telling me I could be condemned for the way I vote, I think it’s natural that I question perhaps why. Wouldn’t you?
Do not concern yourself with anyone’s opinion but Jesus. If people are …describing a political party I align with as evil and Satanic.
