Be careful of what you’re thanking God for. :hmmm:
For the end of this trial, and for His will to be done. No danger there in the long haul, Rich. We’ll get through whatever happens in the short term.

Obama is starting to wake up the sleeping giant.

It’s really going to come down to just three states. Ohio, Virginia and Florida. If Obama wins just one of these three, I believe he’s easily going to win. Mitt has a lot more states to win and for quite an underwhelming candidate, I just don’t see it happening.

Nah, your numbers are old. FL, CO, NC and VA are Romney’s. The battleground states are OH, PA, IA and WI. Also NH.

The republicans are also making a bid for MN, but probably they won’t get it. Surprisingly, MI is in play and they havn’et even spent much time there. They won’t get NV, the unions are very powerful there and lots of hinky stuff is going on out there. But with a good eastern combination, those states would just be frosting on the top anyway. They don’t need them.

I don’t like the idea of the ‘American mosaic’ fostered by Bill Clinton; I enjoyed the previous ideal of an ‘American melting pot’. I preferred an America where everyone set aside their prior national identity to become an American, a citizen of the greatest nation on Earth. Instead, we’ve just had a President who apologized for the actions of America over the years. He has helped create an atmosphere of divisiveness beyond any I’ve seen. People of various races, religions, and socioeconomic classes are in constant conflict. I could go on and on … sorry.
We really differ here. I like the mosaic and am proud to be a hyphenated American. I’ll never lose my identity as a child of a particlular beloved part of Europe. And my wife is no less proud of her Sicilian, not Italian mind you - American background. 👍

LOL, PA, N.H., Iowa and Wiscy are not battleground states.

If you’re so sure, how about we bet? If I’m wrong, I promise to never post again on this forum. If you’re wrong, you’ll do the same. Want to bet?

I’m an American. Descendant of the colonists. At ease, newbie.

Catholics make me crazy. I swear if I have to put up with many more of them, I’m going to become a non-denominational somewhere. At least they read the bible.

This year has not been fun. I’ll tell you what. If Obama gets elected, so that the HHS mandate goes into effect, after all the warning Catholics have had, and all the chances they’ve had to avoid it, then I have no sympathy for them. If they don’t care anymore than what I’ve seen, then I don’t see why I should. Next year, you all can whine all you want. And I’ll just watch. 🍿

Indeed, I prefer the “salad bowl” not the “melting pot”.

Besides it isn’t going to be my job on the line. I’m just an observer. This is going to be interesting either way. 🍿

I will win.

Vote for me for corruption, indifference, cronyism, and general malaise!

For the two who are predicting someone else will win…this is not a test…C is not the correct answer. 😛

How about:

e) Both B and C but not D.

On the other hand, we could make up a True False section, but since no one is telling the truth anymore, we couldn’t ever grade it, so that’s not going to work. So multiple choice it is.

Well now it is time for you to predict who will win the US Presidential Election
I will give you my prediction on/about Wednesday morning. Which might be less silly than it sounds right now. 😃

Nope. That only works for a couple generations. You may start out a tossed salad, but the lettuce will wilt, and you will end up in the melting pot.

As a German-Dutch-Spanish-French-English-Etcetera-American who married a Filipina-Chinese-American, I assure you there is nothing tossed about our salad. The mosaic is more of a toddler’s watercolor (if you’ve seen one of those, you know what I mean).

I hope for the sake of Catholic charitable organizations (I am thinking of the HHS mandate and the fines they would face), that Romney wins.

I will be taking tomorrow off…just one short log on to facebook for a farm game and then I am shutting my computer off completely. Tomorrow is not only election day, it is also ABORTION DAY in my city. 15-20 babies (maybe more since they moved to a bigger death clinic) lose their lives every week in the name of “choice” (and this is what OBAMA supports for ANY reason) so I am going to turn off the computer, otherwise I will get upset. If I watch television, it’ll be DVD movies (maybe I’ll watch The 13th day Fatima movie) or EWTN. I won’t be watching ANY of the news networks as it wouldl make me even more upset.
